FromSoftware has a long-running legacy when it comes to creating dark fantasy RPG titles, and their best-selling franchise, Elden Ring, is just the tip of the iceberg regarding features such as combat mechanics.

Something that has caught the eye of a few players is a bug in the game that has been transforming one of the weapons into something more than intended by the studio, similar to the trick weapons found in the 2015 PlayStation Exclusive title Bloodborne.

In Bloodborne, players were able to acquire and experience different versions of some weapons, allowing them to use different movesets and deal different damage as deemed fit in the situation. However, this feature was never carried over to any games further released by FromSoftware.

Fortunately, players have stumbled across a bug that allows them to witness a version of the Urumi Whip weapon never seen before. As posted on Elden Ring’s Reddit forum, a player has showcased how the bug helps extend the range of the whip and can help you gain a huge advantage against an enemy, especially the ones present in the recent Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

And it seems the time has come, as players believe they have finally unveiled the biggest detail of The Lands Between, that being how the map itself is based on a real-life island in Japan, called Hokkaido.

While it is possible that The Lands Between being inspired by an island is not the detail Miyazaki was talking about, it remains an incredible find, especially bearing in mind that it went unnoticed for years after the game’s release.
