Over the years, FromSoftware has released many different Souls-like games, but one game has received the gaming community’s love and affection since its original release on the PlayStation 4, and that’s Bloodborne. But after the announcement of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, players are asking when we’ll be getting a Bloodborne remake.

Since there has been so much love for this game, it is completely understandable that gamers are begging for a remake and for it to be soon. One comment suggests that a remake would highly benefit from utilizing newer generation consoles and better technology so that the developers can bring in more quality and be able to render certain expressions to the highest potential.

That being said, even though technology is a large factor, it isn’t the only reason as to why FromSoftware may delay the Bloodborne remake, and that is down to the fact that a newer console and a fresh game will also bring in more players to enjoy this experience with a revamped look and potentially even plenty of content.

This Isn’t the First Time FromSoftware Has Waited to Bring out a Remake of One of Its Games

One of the defining factors of a remake is the fact that it needs to upgrade the base game in ways that technology and developers couldn’t at the time of its original release. This could be down to certain items not working, better graphics, faster frame rates, and so much more.

A prime example of this was FromSoftware’s first Souls-like game, Demon’s Souls, which was originally released on the PlayStation 3, and even though it was a fantastic game, it was rather lackluster in terms of quality, frame rate, and graphics.

After many years and technological advancements, a remake was eventually brought out along with the PlayStation 5 as a debut title. This brought a lot of attention to the game and revitalized a lot of players’ love for the franchise, while also showing how future technology and developer experience can help bring a title back from the dead.

Even though Bloodborne is still a fan-favorite, it would be reasonable for FromSoftware to wait until the PlayStation 6 and remake the game using better technology to help bring in a bigger audience along with a new generation of consoles, just like it has already done. What do you think about this information? Are you looking forward to a Bloodborne remake? Let us know in the comments!
