Elden Ring was released back in February 2022, shaking the gaming industry with an immersive open world, outstanding gameplay, and stunning visuals. Almost 2 years later, a gamer, who has spent 800 hours of their life playing this game, discovered this powerful weapon that completely changes the gaming experience.
It’s not easy to see everything during the first playthrough, mainly because of Elden Ring‘s huge map, which is about 30.5 square miles, or 79 square kilometers. Players can use various weapons and spells in the game in order to defeat enemies. With so many things to explore, it makes sense why gamers are still finding new things.
A gamer found this mysterious weapon in Elden Ring
A Reddit user named Expert_Perception_72 recently posted their rare discovery in EldenRing‘s subreddit, r/Eldenring. They claimed that they have played the game for over 800 hours and this is the first time they have come across this sword known as Grossmesser.
The post received more than 1,500 upvotes and many gamers claimed that they have never seen this weapon either. When asked how they got their hands on the weapon, user Expert_Perception_72 explained that they got it from a skeleton inside one of Elden Ring‘s catacombs. This large Curved Sword is a good weapon for its Spinning Slash Skill which allows the player to spin and deal slash damage to enemies in range. Gamers can get this weapon by simply defeating any Skeleton that wields the weapon.
Another player made a discovery about Walking Mausoleums after 1,000 hours of playing
In Elden Ring, gamers come across something known as a Wandering/Walking Mausoleum. The walking buildings with four legs are found throughout the Lands Between and are guarded by headless knights. In order to access the Mausoleum players must attack the skull-like deposits on the structure.
Earlier this year, a gamer made a discovery about the Walking Mausoleums and its knights explaining that they feel dumb realizing this after playing for more than 1000 hours. The user, Existing-Ad4603, pointed out that the skull-like deposits on the structure are actually the skulls of the Mausoleum Knights who beheaded themselves to guard them. With so much to explore, it is nearly impossible for one to notice every detail in the game.
