When Modern Warfare 3 introduced a third-person perspective (TPP) mode for Zombies, players found it fun, easy to play, and navigate the area. Elden Ring experienced something similar. Recently, a first-person perspective (FPP) mod was created by modders. But it takes skill to progress in this new alteration of the game.
Elden Ring is among the most successful games of all time with over 300 Game of the Year awards to its name. Moreover, it has sold over 20 Million copies in a year but the fans are still waiting with bated breath for its downloadable content (DLC), Shadow of the Erdtree. It was rumored to come out earlier in February but no official date has been provided by FromSoftware yet.
Elden Ring’s Soldier of Godrick Got Some Glory To His Name Here

As they say, looks deceive, the new mod comes closer to this phrase. Without a shadow of a doubt, it is a sight to behold. Nonetheless, when it comes to fighting against enemies, it gets a little hectic there. Even the players who excel at the game in the traditional TPP found it a bit difficult as they advanced.
Judging distance and locking on to enemies became a dreadful task for players in the mod as opposed to TPP. Usually, when the camera is behind the player in Elden Ring, a user doesn’t realize how small his player is, and it is certainly easier to navigate the region in this view. Agility is lost. Soldier of Godrick, whom a player playing the mod called the easiest boss of the game, killed the user on the initial encounter.
Fighting with bosses like Tree Sentinel was also a hard nut to crack as things being too close kind of developed a sense of confusion as to what was happening at the moment. Interestingly, the player’s mount appeared like the Old Wounds mission from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 set up in a fantasy land. However, it wasn’t something that appealed to users.
Fans Still Seeking a Pinch of Hint For Shadow of The Erdtree
![Shadow of the Erdtree was anticipated to drop earlier in February 2024.](https://fwmedia.fandomwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/10001416/elden-ring-erdtree-2-1024x512.jpg)
Despite the mod being fun, Elden Ring is actually better in the third-person perspective. One of the reasons could be that it does not seem fitting to the game. Long-term players used to TPP may find themselves forced into something that they would want to get out of quickly. There are several mods out on the internet with this being among the most challenging, but also entertaining, to some extent.
Some of the best Elden Ring mods include Enemies Moveset, Aspects of the Shinobi, Sword Mastery, and more. More interesting mods could appear in the future but the game’s players might be looking in that direction. They still await the much-anticipated Shadow of the Erdtree extension.
The hype was almost white-hot following the recent financial reports released by FromSoftware’s parent company Kadokawa. However, the pep settled as they realized there was no mention of Shadow of the Erdtree in it.
