Another day, another theory that Elden Ring‘s first DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, will be dropping, as another update has been teased by the gaming community. Over the past few weeks, there have been quite a few different minor updates to Elden Ring, along with one rather large update.
These different updates tend to only be a few GB big, but there was one update some time ago that was rather large in terms of memory, which has led many gamers to keep an eye on Steam and its update packages as gamers feel this will be where they will finally get the hint that Shadow of the Erdtree will be shadow dropped.
Gamers Are Still Eager to Jump Into Elden Ring’s First DLC, to the Point Where They Are Watching the Update Screen for Hours.
Earlier this morning there were more updates to the Elden Ring DLC package on SteamDB. Details of this one are a bit more obscure with no discernable labels.

Whether you have been a fan of Elden Ring since its initial release back in February 2022 or have only just jumped onto the bandwagon with its recent surge in popularity, you will have begun to wonder as to when Elden Ring will be bringing new content for you to explore and defeat.
According to a recent tweet by Twitter/X user Ziostorm, this long-awaited update could be right around the corner, as there has been a recent update to the game’s SteamDB files, which could hint towards an update in the near future.
Keep in mind that this is only a theory and has no real weight to it, as there have been a few updates to Elden Ring‘s SteamDB files recently that have all led to nothing, but never say never, as there is always the potential for a big reveal around the corner that could blow this case out of the water.
Gamers Are Getting Their Hopes up Once Again, and It May Not Be the Last Time Either.
So far, there have been plenty of theories, hopes, and dreams for the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC to drop in the coming few days, as many gamers theorize that it may release on the game’s second-year anniversary, or some believe that a trailer may be revealed that day.
With these hopes and dreams, players could be getting their hopes a little too high, as there has been no official confirmation that Shadow of the Erdtree is even close to being released, and the only information that the gaming community can look towards are the update files that are being changed on a regular basis.

If this theory is true and we will at least see a reveal trailer by the middle of this month, it will be major news and set a lot of gamers minds at ease as they will finally receive some kind of release date that they can eagerly await, or gamers might finally get that shadow drop they have been waiting on.
