Radahn’s arena has catacombs worth exploring

After you defeat Starscourge Radahn, you’re free to explore the boss arena without worrying about being killed by the huge man on a tiny horse. As you move about and figure out things to pick up and pass by, there’s a particular spot that demands your attention. These are the War-Dead Catacombs, one of the toughest dungeons in the entire game.

The place is filled with enemies like Redmane Knight and Putrid Tree Spirit who pose a sufficient threat. However, the more you explore this place and battle through all the monstrosity, you’ll discover different materials and rewards that you wouldn’t otherwise expect.

Battle Godrick the Grafted once more

Same looks, same moveset, different name.

Godefroy the Grafted is one of the earlier demigods and Shardbearers you encounter in Elden Ring and gives you a true sense of victory as you understand what the game truly has to offer in terms of challenges. However, there’s a way of encountering the boss again… with a twist this time.

You see, Evergaols are some of the toughest enemies in the game and often feel like representations of another boss. One of these is to be found near the Grand Lift of Dectus and explore a way through narrow passages with the help of a Stonesword Key. This will unlock the Golden Lineage Evergaol, leading to a fight against Godefroy the Grafted. Even though he has a different name, he pretty much looks like Godrick and moves like the familiar boss.

Explore the Inverted Carian Study Hall

Known as the center of knowledge for sorcerers in the game, Liurnia of the Lakes holds an important place in the Lands Between. It hosts Carian Study Hall, a small dungeon that seems to be inaccessible at first. However, if you follow in on Ranni’s quest and give her the Fingerslayer Blade (found in the Nokron, Eternal City), you can access the Study Hall.

This turns the area upside-down, letting you reach one of the higher points in the dungeon, eventually unlocking the Divine Tower of Liurnia. This leads to unveiling more secrets, giving you a better look at what lies within.

Volcano Manor holds a secret dungeon in Elden Ring

Elden Ring Volcano Manor
There’s more to this place than what you’d expect.

The dreadful and dangerous-looking place, Volcano Manor, is home to some of the deepest secrets in the game. One such lies in the fact that you can access a dungeon hidden behind a wall. This can be accessed once you decide on going against Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, one of the more challenging bosses in the game.

To do so, you’ll have to go through the Prison Town dungeon, which is subtly hidden behind an illusionary wall. It’s found near a crooked painting next to Zoraya’s room. So, keep a watchful eye next time you give it a visit.

These are just some of the many secrets you can plan on exploring within Elden Ring, the next time you pick up the game. Maybe a refresher and new ways of playing the game altogether? It’s all up to you. In the meantime, have you come across many such secrets in the game? Let us know in the comments below.
