The announcement of Deborah Ann Hill and Elden Henson had got the fans excited, and they demanded Marvel to bring back the Still actress as Elektra in Daredevil: Born Again on X.
The new TV Series features Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, many familiar faces reprising their roles. However, Brad Winderbaum, a Marvel Studios executive, has confirmed that the show will be a part of Marvel’s Sacred Timeline. With plenty of questions and thousands of speculations, a fan asked Elodie Yung on her Instagram post if she’d return as Elektra in the upcoming series.
The actress responded with a cheeky telling the fan to “Ask Them!” referring to the executives at Marvel Studios. As fans know Elektra has been a love interest of Matt Murdock/Daredevil, but if she does not return to the upcoming show, then Cox’s Murdock will continue his love interest with Heather Glenn, who is an intelligent and independent woman. Their relationship is one of the most beautiful relationships in the entire MCU, often showcasing a complex relationship with trust and sacrifice.
Why Do Fans Love Elodie Yung’s Portrayal of Elektra
Elodie Yung’s portrayal of Elektra was immensely loved by adopting a more subdued approach to match the darker tone of her TV series. As a result, her portrayal of the character was a mixed bag of emotions, and her jaw-dropping chemistry with Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock/ Daredevil was one of the key reasons for the show’s success.
Even though her development was ignored in the show, focusing immensely on the main characters, her focusing on Elektra’s darker side made her a fan-favorite. She had effectively captured Elektra’s ruthlessness, manipulative behavior, and sadistic enjoyment of violence. Hence, it would be great to see Yung making her return in Daredevil: Born Again as Elektra sharing the screen with Charlie Cox and other cast members.
