Other actresses with equally tremendous performances in box-office masterpieces who were also nominated in this respective category included Annette Bening as Diana Nyad in Nyad, Carey Mulligan as Felicia Montealegre in Maestro, Margot Robbie as Barbie in Barbie, and lastly, Emma Stone as Bella Baxter in Poor Things.
Since Emma Stone was also nominated for the accolade in this respective category, fans were devastated to see her lose, as her performance in Poor Things was equally worthy of winning. However, even though she lost, fans couldn’t help but appreciate her all the more, just because of the reaction she gave to Gladstone’s win.
In the clip shared by @THR on X, as soon as Jessica Chastain announced the winner, while Lily Gladstone sat there star-struck with tears appearing in her eyes, it was Emma Stone who jumped in her seat and celebrated Gladstone’s win most ecstatically. Probably clapping the loudest in the entire hall, Stone had the proudest expression on her face as though she herself had won.

Even as Lily Gladstone went ahead to give a touching speech to celebrate her historic win of becoming the first-ever Indigenous performer to bag a SAG accolade in the respective category, all eyes were still on Stone who sat in her seat as happy and proud as ever despite having just lost an award she quite equally deserved to win. To put it in a nutshell, Stone was Gladstone won!
In fact, if anything, from her reaction, it almost seemed like she was looking forward to Gladstone’s win. Just like that, through this extraordinary compassion of hers for her fellow actresses and her celebrating others’ wins even as she lost, Emma Stone continued to win hearts; further proving just why she deserves to be loved as much as she is by her fans.
