Epic Games has revealed a lot of new updates for Unreal Engine at GDC

Epic Games and Unreal Engine had its own conference called the Unreal State. In this presentation, they introduce the Unreal Engine 5.4 and a lot of new features for the Unreal Editor on Fortnite (UEFN). Unreal State was the name of the conference that Epic Games held. The company presented Unreal Engine 5.4, showing a cinematic trailer for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra from Skydance New Media. Aside from the trailer, they show a tech demo with all the MetaHuman technology and particles that this engine can generate. The motion capture was incredible for all the actors that are part of the game. Unreal Engine 5.4. has some new additions regarding volumetric rendering. This kind of detail will also be available on the UEFN.
Fortnite UEFN will finally add MetaHuman functionalities
Epic Games has also confirmed that Fortnite in the UEFN will now have the possibility to add MetaHuman-generated models, being the first characters with some realism that could be a part of the Fortnite experience in the future. The UEFN also has thousands of new features thanks to the Unreal Engine 5.4. LEGO Fornite will also have new things to create in the UEFN; the company added new Ninja Go islands, among other things regarding this brand.
The best news about this Epic Games Unreal State conference was the fact that the Epic Games Store will be available on Android and iOS this year. After the whole Apple-Epic Games debacle, Epic Games finally got a common ground with the creators of the iPhone and will finally be available on that ecosystem. There is no official release date for the store on either OS.
