Moriarty, who has taken on the role of Starlight in the satirical superhero TV show, has also had an important role in the Marvel series.
Moriarty portrayed the role of Hope Shlottman in the first season of Jessica Jones. Hope is depicted as an innocent college student who becomes one of the victims of Kilgrave’s mind-control tactics and is forced into violent acts under his control. Throughout its first season, she forms a close bond with Jessica.
Following her appearance in the Marvel series, Moriarty went on to star in several movies, including Monster Party and Catching Dust, before embodying the character of Annie January, aka Starlight, alongside the fellow Jessica Jones actress Colby Minifie.
Colby Minifie Deals With the Seven in The Boys
Another Jessica Jones actress who has transcended to The Boys is Colby Minifie. The 31-year-old actress also started her journey at a very early age and has since appeared on and off Broadway, on television, and in several films. She portrayed the recurring role of Robyn, Jones’ upstairs neighbor, in the first season of the Marvel series.
She has also starred in popular series like Fear the Walking Dead, Law & Order, and Glee among others. While Minifie had a minor role in the Netflix series, she took on the more significant role of Ashley Barrett in The Boys.
Joining the show as Madelyn Stillwell’s assistant at Vought, she later goes on to become the president of the superhero company. Starring alongside some commendable actors like Karl Urban, Minifie has still managed to gain viewers’ attention with her exceptional performance.
The character’s relatable struggles in the toxic workplace make viewers root for her ultimate escape. Alongside Erin Moriarty, Colby Minifie is also expected to reprise her respective roles in the next season of the popular show.
