Ashley Michelle and Manuel Velez’s relationship may be a bit problematic, but Michelle proved that despite everything that’s going around her, she has what it takes to turn her physique around completely. Taking to her Instagram, Michelle often posted updates to her weight loss journey, and let’s just say that we are impressed!

On July 26, 2023, Michelle posted a comparison photo where she looked much more toned on the left side than on the right. The 90 Day Fiancé fame wrote, “Building a successful business is like building a booty….it’s gonna take a long fu*king time, but it can be done.” Honestly, we haven’t heard anything as motivating as this! She added that hip thrusts, split squats, and good protein intake helped her transform her body.

A few months later, Michelle posted another comparison photo, but this time, she was wearing the wedding dress she bought for tying the knot with Velez. By the time of posting this photo, Michelle was already 60 pounds lighter and revealed that the seamstress had to alter the dress by ten inches around the waist. However, if you think she was stopping here, you couldn’t be more wrong.

On February 10, Michelle revealed that she had officially lost a hundred pounds and that she was proud of herself as it was “by far the hardest thing” she ever did. We are proud of her, too!

When it comes to weight loss journeys in the film industry, there’s no way you can ignore Chris Pratt’s incredible transformation, where he lost 60 pounds in 6 months. Speaking about his weight loss, Pratt stated (via People),

Being in good physical shape is the best way to combat depression. You just have endorphins running around your body. It is the best anti-depressive that there is.”

The actor’s workout regime included running, boxing, swimming, kickboxing, and sometimes going through a triathlon. Of course, Pratt spent a lot of time doing exercises that had him lifting heavy weights, including but not limited to barbell curls, hammer curls, and hammer strength row.

However, losing weight doesn’t only mean working out like a madman. People have to make sure that their diet is in accordance with their end goal, which can often end up becoming more challenging than extreme exercises. For Pratt’s diet plan, he told Men’s Health that he would consume a lot of leafy green salads and protein shakes. The Jurassic World actor also completely cut out alcohol.

Pratt also told People,

I actually lost weight by eating more food, but eating the right food, eating healthy foods, and so when I was done with the movie, my body hadn’t been in starvation mode.”

Clearly, skipping meals and eating less is not the way to go; eating right is. Needless to say, both Pratt and Michelle are tough contenders for the Best Weight Loss Journey award!
