The film and its cast had a huge presence at San Diego Comic-Con where a trailer was shown exclusively for audiences at the event. After their panel, the cast was interviewed by Variety, and Pugh was asked a question about the most massive stunt she had in the film. The actress provided a very interesting answer that will excite fans.

The Black Widow star revealed that one scene involves her character Yelena jumping off the second tallest building in the world. While she doesn’t clarify whether she herself or her stunt double did it, it is still an astonishing feat that will be a treat to watch on screen. It is the kind of incredible stunt achievement that a veteran like Tom Cruise would be proud of.

Thunderbolts* is certainly going to be among the MCU’s more grounded features alongside Captain America: Brave New World, with Pugh’s Yelena as the main lead. It remains to be seen if the aforementioned stunt holds up to the mind-blowing stuff that Cruise has achieved over the years.

David Harbour is reuniting with Florence Pugh for next year’s Thunderbolts*, which will be a gritty ensemble Marvel film. With most of the production process complete, the cast and crew had more to talk about this time during their Comic-Con panel in Hall H. In it, Harbour praised all of his co-stars and the wonderful work they did on the film.

However, he singled out Pugh, his on-screen daughter, to be his favorite of them all, finding her electric to work with. The actor also teased about their complex relationship and all the flaws that cause friction between them. Harbour said (via YouTube),

They’re all wonderful, but I do have a favorite, and her name is Florence Pugh. She is just electric to work with. There’s complexity in their relationship this time around, and we got to go to all these different levels. He’s a terrible narcissist who has a hard time showing up for other people, and she is very dedicated to killing people. It’s not a great start to a relationship.

The cast also teased that the characters will have a conflicting dynamic that plays into the theme of found family. Thunderbolts* will also star Sebastian Stan, Hannah John-Kamen, Wyatt Russell, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Olga Kurylenko, and Lewis Pullman. The film will be directed by Jake Schreier and will hit theatres on May 2, 2025.
