Mark Wahlberg, who doesn’t shy away from rigorous training to achieve the required physique naturally, expressed his viewpoints on actors using these unethical methods to fasten the results.

Ozempic, which is known for its appetite-regulating effects, has become popular among celebrities when it comes to losing weight. However, it seems despite believing in the old-fashioned way of gaining and losing pounds, the Ted star doesn’t judges people for their use of this weight-loss drug.

Mark Wahlberg doesn’t judge people who use weight-loss drugs

Despite going through rigorous training schedules regularly and even performing 18 hours of intermittent fasting to be healthy,  he doesn’t question people who use external medications for results. Although Mark Wahlberg expressed he believes in the old fashion way of losing and gaining pounds, which fans have witnessed him doing several times now, he claims that everyone has their way of doing it. But even though he doesn’t judge anyone for the use of Ozempic to fasten their results, he does explains why he still follows the traditional way of doing it by stating,

“To each his own, but I do encourage people to eat right and exercise… Everybody has their own path. I don’t knock anybody for making their own choices. But I prefer, and I’ve seen lots of people accomplish amazing things, ordinary people doing extraordinary things on a fitness base, and they’re now encouraging other people that look like them. That’s what I’m into.”

Even at the age of 51, the Ted star believes in no shortcuts and still wakes up early in the morning and throughout his career, he has transformed his body on numerous occasions.

Gaining weight for Father Stu took a toll on Mark Wahlberg’s health

Although the Uncharted star does believe in the traditional way of training, things can become quite challenging when he is involved in losing or gaining extreme weight for a role. Considering the lengths Mark Wahlberg is determined to go to achieve the perfect results, this went on to take a toll on the actor during his time in Father Stu. Bearing in mind that Father Stu was a passion project for the actor, as it was a love letter to his faith, he went to take extreme measures to perfect himself, which led to him gaining 30 pounds for the role. The actor explained,

“I put on 30 pounds and went from being a guy who was in fighting shape to a guy who was wheelchair-bound, suffering from a rare muscular degenerative disease. I was just turning 50 by the time we finished the movie, and I was eating 11,000 calories a day. That drastic weight gain really took a toll on me over the course of the last seven, eight months.”

But apart from the few complications from his rigorous diet for projects, even at the age of 51, the Ted star still remains in great shape, thanks to his healthy and traditional way of training.
