Christopher Walken, outside of being in several very successful projects, has made quite a reputation for himself as being quite an unpredictable individual. This is something that can be seen in his acting career as well, showcased through his unorthodox and unique method of delivering lines which can seen in his roles in Pulp Fiction, Catch Me If You Can, Sleep Hollow, and The Deer Hunter.

This is showcased not only in the characters he plays but even in real-life conversations with him, having some of the most surprising and arbitrary stories. This was no different when Walken gave an interview, where he revealed some extremely interesting information about him. The information in question was only related to the actor’s shopping habits and how frequently he buys clothes.

Christopher Walken Gets His Clothes From Sets

Christopher Walken gave an extensive and detailed interview with The Guardian. Here, he touched on many different subjects, including, oddly enough, having a job as a lion tamer when he was younger. The actor also revealed an interesting habit that he had picked up throughout his acting career that had nothing to do with acting. He confessed that he does not buy clothes anymore.

“Whenever I do a movie, all my clothing is from the set. They don’t give me anything. I steal.” Said Christopher Walken during this interview.

The reason for this is the fact that Walken has picked up the habit of stealing clothes from the set. This is nothing new in the film industry as actors are inclined to steal their clothes for many reasons, including the fact that they are fitted perfectly for them and their bodies. It is safe to assume, however, that none have done it to the degree and scale that Walken has over his many years of acting. He revealed that all of his clothes, at this, point are from sets.

Christopher Walken Wasn’t Able To Steal Anything From The Set Of Batman Returns

One would also assume that if Christopher Walken was stealing clothes in such huge quantities, this would have been known and approved by the productions. This, however, was not the case at all. The actor revealed to The Guardian, that he did not ask for permission about whether or not he could do what he was doing, he simply stole the clothes.

“When I finished the last scene I went back to my dressing room and everything was gone. They saw me coming!” Christopher Walken went on to say during this interview.

While this has worked for him in the past, there is one instance that he highlighted, where the production was steps ahead of him. The actor revealed that on the set of Batman Returns, he had all the intentions to do exactly what he did, however, things did not go his way. As soon as he was done filming the final scene of the film, he went into his trailer, only to find everything had been removed, leaving nothing for him to steal.
