The Egghead Arc, or the Future Island Arc, seems to finally enter its climax as seen in Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece chapter 1106. The chapter brings a twist with itself, showing two unexpected characters coming to save the Straw Hats from Egghead Island, setting up the next arc of the series perfectly.
What we are talking about is the arrival of Dorry and Brogy, hailing from Elbaf Island, also called the Warland which is located northeast of Egghead Island. They are shown to be helping Luffy out of the island and dealing with the massive fleet of marines that the World Government has sent.
It remains evident that the next destination for the Straw Hat Pirates seems to be the Island of Elbaf as we reach the end of the Egghead Arc. Following are the events that have precisely led to this moment in the series.
Eiichiro Oda’s Setup In One Piece To Start Off Elbaf Island Arc
The past few chapters of One Piece have focused on Luffy and the other Straw Hat pirates arriving at Egghead Island, or Future Island after they were done in the Wano Country.
This island is where the intelligent Dr. Vegapunk lives and researches The Void Century of One Piece. The study of the same is prohibited by The World Government, and after being tipped off about Dr. Vegapunk’s research, they send a massive fleet which results in a siege of the Island.
Currently, the island is surrounded by 100 ships, including what seems to be 20 battleships manned by nearly 30,000 marines ready to charge and destroy the island on command. In a recent development, Dorry and Brogy have now arrived at the island, aiming to make Luffy’s escape from the island and head towards our next Arc.
Everything We Know About The Elbaf Island In One Piece
As mentioned before, Dorry and Brogy have now arrived at Egghead Island to safely evacuate Luffy and the other pirates from the wrath of the Marines. Since they are part of the Giant Warrior Pirates, hailing from Elbaf, it remains evident that is where our protagonist is headed next.
The island was first mentioned back in Chapter 865 and is now set to make a comeback. It is conveniently located near the Wano and Egghead islands and is called to be the strongest country in the world of One Piece due to its army of Giants.
The island is where the Giant Warrior Pirates originate from and follow a monarchy system, with the prince of the country being named Loki. Elbaf Island could be one of the last islands and ARC we get to see as we move closer to the end of One Piece as a whole.
Eiichiro Oda seems to have been influenced by Norse Mythology when creating the story of Elbaf. This has been made obvious by calling it a country of the Giants and naming the Prince Loki, which corresponds to Prince Loki of Norse Mythology.
