The world changed when iconic director Denis Villeneuve decided to adapt Frank Herbert’s novel into a franchise. Starring Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, and an ensemble cast of veteran actors, Villeneuve created Dune: Part One and Part Two.
As per a recent report, the salaries of these cast members are, however, significantly low! With the film raking in millions, it’s honestly a surprise that the rumored salaries of Chalamet and Ferguson are estimated to be this low!
The Rumored Salaries of Dune Cast Members Is Quite Low!
With a budget of $190 million, Denis Villeneuve created Dune: Part Two to the best of his abilities. From the varied usage of CGI and VFX to rattle people’s brains to the use of IMAX cameras, the film was quite an expensive project to make.
Well, it seems that the expensive project was successful due to the sacrifice of the cast members of the franchise! In a tweet on X, the rumored salaries of cast members of Dune: Part Two were revealed. As per the tweet, the salaries are indeed quite low, and it is almost astonishing to see that actors like Timothée Chalamet and Rebecca Ferguson worked for such low salaries!

As expected, people took to X (formerly Twitter) and talked about the low amount of salaries that all these cast members of the Dune franchise were getting. Several people went one step ahead and stated that Rebecca Ferguson should have been paid more… even more than Zendaya.

On another topic, lead star Chalemet talked about shooting the iconic worm sequence in Dune: Part Two. Revealing some behind-the-scenes discussions, Timothée Chalamet revealed the notorious worm unit and how they worked for three months for a three-minute sequence!
Timothée Chalamet Is Impressed By The Worm Unit!
Without giving spoilers for Dune: Part Two, let’s just say that there is an iconic sequence present in the movie which is quite a sight to see. In an interview with Screen Rant, Timothée Chalamet revealed that it was a whole different unit called the Worm Unit.
“Practically, it was a different unit that was separate from the film. We called it the Worm Unit, and you would get pulled onto that unit 20 or 30 minutes at a time, and they would slot the availabilities in relation to the main production schedule.”
He further continued,
“And it was awe-inspiring. There was a wall this size of a shot list that they were dedicating — like, you put three months to for what’s ultimately a three-minute sequence. It is a crucial test for him to pass, one that Stilgar and Chani are wary of because, to this point, it’s not really sure if this prophecy is one that he’s fulfilling.”
With a high rating of 8.9/10 on IMDB and a whopping 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, Chalamet and Zendaya’s Dune: Part Two is currently screening in theaters across the world for people to see.
