Who is Shimo?
In Japanese, “Shimo” translates to “frost,” giving us a clue about the Titan’s powers. While Godzilla wields fiery atomic breath, Shimo seems poised to unleash icy blasts from its mouth.
Interestingly, Shimo’s presence wasn’t initially teased in trailers or posters but rather in an unexpected place – a video game. The 2022 Call of Duty collaboration with the previous film, Godzilla vs. Kong subtly introduced this formidable villain.
Imagine a colossal, quadrupedal creature with a tough exterior of dense reptilian scutes, displaying a striking dark bluish-white coloration. Its appearance is characterized by a snout reminiscent of a snapping turtle and a relatively plain head with two forward-facing eyes, adorned by a crest of vibrant purple spikes.
