If there is one film fans of the superhero genre are looking forward to, it is Deadpool & Wolverine a.k.a. Deadpool 3. Hugh Jackson returning as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool officially becoming a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe without losing its R-rated card is a huge deal! With just a few months left for the release, the fans are finding it quite difficult to hold onto their seats.
However, Deadpool & Wolverine seems to have encountered a bump on the road as the film is currently going through some last-minute reshoots, at least according to a trusted industry insider’s report. After hearing about the alleged reshoots, the wheels began turning in fans’ minds and they are almost convinced that the reshoots are being done to introduce Henry Cavill into the MCU.
Henry Cavill to Make a Cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine?
Starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Deadpool & Wolverine is all the craze right now as fans are super excited to welcome both characters into the MCU, officially. Things have been going pretty well for the film till now and fans were also quite satisfied with the updates coming their way. That is, until now.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, Deadpool & Wolverine will be going through some reshoots in the month of May, just before its official release date in July. While most fans are worried that this won’t end up well for the film, some are almost a hundred percent sure that the reshoots will incorporate Henry Cavill’s alleged MCU role into the film. There have been reports that Cavill has accepted to become a part of the MCU and will be playing a character that is not Doctor Doom, as many had expected. So, if Doctor Doom is out of the question, which Marvel character has Cavill allegedly said yes to and will we get to see him in Deadpool & Wolverine?
Henry Cavill’s MCU Role Is Reportedly Shocking
As per an industry insider on X who goes by the name, MyTimeToShineHello, Cavill’s MCU role will be “a shock to some.” Needless to say, this sent fans into a frenzy who had been hoping to see the Man of Steel actor jump ship from DC to Marvel. Without wasting time, the excited fans began fan casting Cavill in their preferred roles with Cyclops receiving the majority of votes.

Cyclops is a member of the X-Men and therefore another mutant. He was born with superhuman abilities, including being able to shoot beams from his eyes thanks to special eyewear. The character is also considered one of the first members of the X-Men.
Thanks to being a part of the same group, Wolverine and Cyclops go way back and thus, it would make sense for Cavill to make his entry into the MCU as the mutant through Deadpool & Wolverine. Both mutants, being integral parts of the X-men family, were usually seen fighting together against a common enemy in the X-men comics.
With Jackman’s Wolverine making his way into the MCU, it wouldn’t surprise us if Cyclops emerges to team up with his old colleague. The only question is, is Cavill actually going to be Cyclops? We will just have to wait and find out!
Deadpool & Wolverine will be released in theaters on July 26, 2024.
