Helldivers 2 controversy is calming down since Sony and PlayStation decided to reverse the decision of linking PSN accounts to Steam. Now the dust has settled, players are now refocusing their focus to undo the damage and restore the reputation of the video game.
The fight was hard and the gaming community resorted to unethical methods to make their voices heard which involved desecrating the reputation of the game to gain the publisher’s attention which ultimately worked. Hopefully, there is still time to heal and move on.

However, things have changed for the better, and now the community is encouraging others to undo the damage. Some creative fans have come up with a new mandate to order every player who posted negative reviews to undo it.

This is to help restore the game’s honor and improve its chances of being selected as a nominee for Game of the Year. It is not too late and this minor setback will have little to no effect on the game’s overall image. The live service game is still the best-selling game of 2024 which is a positive note for Sony.
This should be a reminder to not disregard the gaming community because they will retaliate in a much more gruesome and effective fashion. One fan even threatened to file a lawsuit against the publisher which could have been a massive headache for the company to deal with.
The Restoration Effort for Helldivers 2 Is Well Under Way
When the video game becomes available again in the regions where it was recently removed, the movement can gain momentum. Sony experienced significant negative feedback from reviews and decided to implement a better solution. The developer received an unfair amount of hate from the community and the treatment of being held accountable for something that was beyond their control. Pilestedt hopes to regain the trust of the community and the fans should do their part to help undo the damage.
