One Punch Man is getting closer to revealing the overarching primary antagonist of the series named ‘God.’ An enigmatic figure who is responsible for turning humans into dragons and thus the creation of the Monster Association, God seems to have incredible supernatural powers that will give Saitama the ‘challenge’ that he desires.
As Yusuke Murata’s manga nears the 200-chapter mark, it is clear that the mangaka is building up to the eventual revelation of God and his master plan. Chapters 191-94 have witnessed a massive change in tone. Instead of any talks about monsters or unusual humor attached to characters, the conversations and the plot revolve around meeting God.
Murata has also given a clear hint on how Saitama will eventually ‘unseal’ God and spar with his omnipotent power to stop the latter’s plans of destroying each human on earth.
Saitama versus God – How The Stage Has Been Set By One Punch Man Story
One Punch Man Chapter 192 reignited the hype around God. While King was leaving the Ultimate Training Ground, he stumbled upon a shadowy figure that immediately made him panic. Fans identified the figure to be Manaka, aka Occulette, who was missing since the Monster Association Arc. She was one of the few people who telepathically communicated with God.
Flashy Fist and Saitama are on the lookout for Manako in order to get information about her chat with God. In the meantime, Chapter 193 has given a teaser on how Saitama vs. God will pan out. The manga showcases the Caped Baldy obtaining each seal of the Cruel Dragon on the requests of villagers, summoning the beast only to defeat it with a single punch.

The seals merged together and shattered when the dragon was unleashed. A similar case might be for God, who belongs to another dimension but is omnipresent in One Punch Man. The entity could be summoned once the heroes get each Mysterious Cube that encompasses the voice of God and is responsible for giving humans supernatural powers upon being touched.
Prior to the recent chapters, the narratives about God have been primarily about the cube connection and the entity’s appearance. Chapter 194 in One Punch Man affirmed that the cubes are vital to summoning God as the group of Flashy Fist, Saitama, and Genos came upon Blast at the end. Blast is the same person who has been at war with God for 20 years and is collecting cubes to ask for answers from the fourth-dimensional entity.
Blast is expected to tell Saitama more about his discoveries and talks with God in the upcoming chapter. Moreover, there seems to be a direct relation between God and Cruel Dragon, given that the latter may have obtained powers from the entity and subsequently begun ravaging lands.

Everything We Know About God in One Punch Man
God has the ability to sap power or give powers depending on their ‘worthiness’ as seen in Chapter 138. The mysterious figure communicated via the cube and asked Saitama, Flashy Fist, and Manako to place their hands on the cube to face judgment. Neither of them did anything although it seems Saitama was on the brink of losing his powers.
Speaking of the appearance of God, it has a humanoid shape with no face. It first appeared in the form of a wind in the early chapters and retained the form when he gave Garou cosmic powers to battle Saitama. It is evident that the entity has a bone to pick with the bald hero as he termed him to be “the fist that turned against God.”
Despite God powering up Garou, Saitama was able to defeat the villain in the final chapters of the Monster Association Arc. The next arc, Neo Heroes Saga, revealed that God indeed has taken an interest in Saitama, as revealed during a meeting called by Sitch. The entity’s motives with the hero are still a mystery.
