Unfortunately for Vin Diesel, this news of a potential sequel for The Last Witch Hunter, may not be as well received as they think. While there are many reasons for this, for starters, many don’t want a sequel for the film, the biggest would be the fact that the original film did not do that well in the first place.

The Last Witch Hunter, which came out in 2015, did extremely badly, not only among audiences but also critics. The film has a score of 18% from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as an audience score of 44%. These numbers are extremely concerning, especially factoring in the fact that there is a potential sequel, which would almost certainly lead to failure.
