Vin Diesel is perhaps the first person to go to in Hollywood when it comes to sequels and franchises, considering how many he has started over the course of his lengthy career. Starting of with the most well-known of the bunch, The Fast and the Furious franchise, which has more than ten films in total over the course of many years of its run and many more to come. Following this are other many famous franchises, including XXX, as well as Riddick, all of which have many different films over the course of a number of years.
It would seem that another soon-to-be franchise is about to make its way into this list. The reason for this is that Diesel may have recently teased a potential sequel for The Last Witch Hunter in an Instagram post.
Vin Diesel Hints A Sequel To The Last Witch Hunter
Vin Diesel is quite active on his Instagram as it is a platform that he frequently uses to announce new and upcoming projects. It would seem that in a recent post, the actor did just this. Diesel put up a picture of him in costume from the film, The Last Witch Hunter.

While this may not seem like a lot to some, it is important to note that many celebrities tease upcoming projects through this method. This can easily be interpreted as Diesel, teasing, and almost revealing the future of this film. This may be the wrong idea on many different levels.
Why Is This A Bad Idea?
Unfortunately for Vin Diesel, this news of a potential sequel for The Last Witch Hunter, may not be as well received as they think. While there are many reasons for this, for starters, many don’t want a sequel for the film, the biggest would be the fact that the original film did not do that well in the first place.
The Last Witch Hunter, which came out in 2015, did extremely badly, not only among audiences but also critics. The film has a score of 18% from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as an audience score of 44%. These numbers are extremely concerning, especially factoring in the fact that there is a potential sequel, which would almost certainly lead to failure.
