During an event Final Fantasy Fan Fest, in London attendees were given a glimpse of what’s in store. As part of this crossover, Clive, a character from Final Fantasy 16 will be joining forces with the Warriors of Light, in Final Fantasy 14. This collaboration is generating buzz among fans of both games.

The Path Infernal event draws inspiration from the storyline of FF16 but rest assured it won’t reveal spoilers. The intention is to ensure that players who haven’t fully experienced FF16’s narrative can still delight in it.

In this crossover, players will have an exciting battle with a powerful creature called Ifrit. There will also be new and unique items and gear for players to collect and use in the game.

The London Fan Fest brought a slew of exciting announcements, with director and producer Naoki Yoshida, revealing the stylish Viper job in Final Fantasy 14’s Dawntrail expansion. It caters to melee DPS enthusiasts, offering a Ninja-like experience with a different style and technical complexity, wielding twin blades for added flair. The Viper job, alongside other thrilling updates, set the stage for a Fall Guys event making its debut at the Gold Saucer on October 31st.

Square Enix has a track record of game collaborations such as Nier, Dragon Quest, and Monster Hunter, so this isn’t unlikely. However, Yoshida acknowledges the challenges that come with merging the styles and fan bases of both games. Nevertheless, he remains optimistic, about the possibility of a crossover that would create a lot of buzz in the gaming industry.
