Florence Pugh portrayed the role of Princess Irulan in the recently released Denis Villeneuve film Dune: Part Two and the fans already love it. With an impressive ensemble cast at hand, Pugh revealed that there is quite a lot of love between the cast mates.
With the likes of Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya joining the team alongside Florence Pugh (who has worked with Chalamet previously), the actress had some fun things to say about the cast of Dune. Florence Pugh did reveal that there was a lot of “lovefest” amongst the cast which was almost at a gross amount.
Florence Pugh Has A Lot of Respect For Timothée Chalamet
Well, although it is a good thing, we also understand how Florence Pugh would have been grossed out at a point. Starring alongside Timothée Chalamet as far back as Little Women, Pugh revealed that he watched Chalamet grow in Hollywood.
With the actor becoming the lead in the Dune franchise, Pugh revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she couldn’t be more proud of him. During the course of the chat, Pugh revealed that since the cast was bonding quite well, there was a moment when the amount of love that the cast had for each other was out of control.
“I’ve had the luxury of being able to get to know that man who I knew as a boy. And every time I meet him and I work with him I get to fall in love with him more and more and I get to watch my friend become not only just the most amazing actor but like lead sets”.
She further continued,
“And I think we just all have the most… the utmost respect for each other. And we admire each other and- it’s just been a total lovefest”
As the interview further continued, Pugh revealed that since they shared such a deep sense of love, the cast was indeed getting quite comfortable together. Although it meant a good team for the franchise, the lovefest became a gross matter for Pugh.
Florence Pugh And The Cast of Dune: Part Two Became A Lovefest!
Portraying the role of Princess Irulan, Paul Atredies, and, Chani, Pugh, Chalamet, and, Zendaya became quite good friends. With an ensemble cast that had a plethora of characters in the film, Pugh revealed that it didn’t take long before the cast members were involved in a lovefest!
“It’s just been a total lovefest. This press tour. Like, a gross amount of lovefesting”
Portraying the role of Princess Irulan, Pugh received worldwide fame and love for her work in Dune: Part Two. Excited for the return, the world waits in anticipation as to when Dune: Messiah or Dune: Part Three will be released. The 2024 film received a rating of 9/10 on IMDB and a whopping 94% on Rotten Tomatoes and is currently screening in theaters across the world.
