When the GTA 6 trailer dropped in December, the reaction from fans was overwhelming and saw a record number of views. However, for one individual, the trailer apparently struck a nerve, and they felt that their likeness had been used by the developers. Step forward the waste of space known as the ‘Florida Joker.

The individual, whose real name is Lawrence Sullivan, took umbrage with the trailer for the long-awaited GTA game, stating that his appearance had been copied and that he would be taking legal action. Stating that he would be looking for a cool $10 million, many fans dismissed this as nothing more than a stunt to gain followers on social media.

What Is the Latest News on the Florida Joker’s GTA 6 Legal Action?

The attention-seeking Florida Joker appears to be backtracking with his threat of legal action.

Sullivan blamed the trailer for the fact that he is being recognized more and more in public and that he can’t get any time to himself. People are apparently stopping him from asking for selfies as he is considered the same character from the GTA 6 trailer. While some people may be happy with the increased popularity, the egomaniac that is the Florida Joker decided that he would try and sue the developers.

What a solid plan. We can only imagine that Rockstar is instructing its lawyers to meet his every demand as we speak, or not, as the case may be. While Sullivan started with demands of $5 million, he has recently upped this to $10 million. What’s a few extra million to some people?

After over a month of baseless threats of legal action, Sullivan posted on TikTok the following statement for the teams at Rockstar and Take-Two:

We gotta talk. I’m really not trying to sue y’all, so I’m gonna give y’all an extra month. Hit me up. Let me voice the character.

He went on to say that he wanted an increase in the storyline for the character on which he claims he is based and, of course, a royalty deal. Make of that what you will, but we can’t imagine that Rockstar will be in a rush to reach out to this waste of space to indulge his fantasies of being in the game.

The serial fantasist went on to say how he has done so much for the game that it’s his name that is on all the blogs and that everyone loves him. He followed this with more ludicrous rants, asking where his money was and saying that they needed to talk. It’s hard enough to take him seriously just by looking at him, but this latest outburst is utterly hilarious.

There may not be many GTA 6 fans who have any actual sympathy for this waste of space and his inexcusable attempts to extort money from the developers. To make demands like this just screams of desperation, and anyone with any sense would not be giving this idiot a single penny, let alone a character in a game.

The Florida Joker had previously said he would break out the GTA 6 hacker if he didn’t get paid.

It’s clear that GTA 6 will be one of, if not the biggest, games of 2025, and at this early stage, it is already touted as a winner for GoTY. Unfortunately, it could not do without people like the Florida Joker trying to ride the coattails of its success. While he states that he is willing to back down on his baseless threats of legal action against Rockstar, we hope that the company doesn’t pander to this real-life clown’s demands.
