When the GTA 6 trailer dropped recently, albeit somewhat early thanks to footage leaking online, it became one of the most viewed trailers in record-breaking time. Fans who have been waiting since 2013 for their first glimpse of a new Grand Theft Auto title scrambled én masse to watch the first trailer for the upcoming game, and it left GTA fans buzzing.

The downside is that Rockstar Games confirmed the game wouldn’t be available until 2025. With the trailer dropping in December of last year, that leaves a full year (and perhaps more) before fans can expect to see the title published. So in the meantime, that just leaves the small job for fans of picking apart the trailer and speculating about what will be in the game, and one of the main points that GTA fans love to talk about, is the size of the map.

What can we see from the new rumoured map pics of GTA 6?

When the GTA 6 trailer dropped in December, fans flocked to get their first glimpse of the upcoming game.

Looking at the GTA 6 subreddit there are various speculations and rumors that one can wade through, and sometimes GTA fans can take things just a little too far in the deep dives. However, one user going by the handle, u/PrinceSnivy24, was quick to post the latest map update from DuPz0r, who has been providing speculative map views for the last few months.

The game is confirmed to take place in the state of Leonida and will see a return to the much-loved setting of Vice City. However, it is the surrounding areas that have been compiled by Dupz0r which are leaving many fans on the GTA 6 subreddit questioning what may taking up the space and what other cities we may see in the game.

Many fans commented on the placement of the airport on the map and how it was a nice change of pace to see it inland, whereas with other games it would be located next to the water. One fan pointed out that the Miami airport is inland, and given that Vice City is based in Miami it would make sense to have this accuracy adapted into the map.

With another airport located on the west side of the speculative map, some fans have queried whether there may be another located somewhere in the north. Theories lead this to be something like Orlando airport, which is located to the north of Miami, and it could be that there is a city representative of this which players could encounter.

Looking at the map, some fans are speculating that the darker shades of green are meant to be representative of cities, with others commenting that there have been leaks suggesting Bermuda Triangle missions. With the congregation of islands lying off the coast of Vice City, this would be logical to have, and representative of where the Bermuda Triangle currently lies off Miami.

If this speculative map is representative of the actual one in GTA 6 then it will be huge!

It’s clear that the sheer scale of GTA 6 is going to be bigger than anything seen in the previous titles and fans cannot wait for it. The speculation and rumors that surround a franchise are always a source of enjoyment in the run-up to the release, and with the latest installment in the popular franchise, there is expectation that it will be GOTY for 2025.
