While Gabrielle has embarked on a number of television shows, she dipped her toes in the vast ocean of films with Uncharted starring Tom Holland and Wahlberg. And since the video game adaptation marked her first feature film, the actress was understandably jittery while working on the project. But Gabrielle’s co-stars proved to be her guardian angels on set, ensuring that the 27-year-old felt at comfort during all times and supporting her throughout the movie.

Uncharted – Mark Wahlberg’s Heartwarming Advice for Tati Gabrielle

Jumping ships from the world of Netflix shows to the mighty land of film industry can be daunting a experience, especially while working with some of the most popular faces of Hollywood. So, collaborating with actors like Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg on a $120 million movie naturally made Tati Gabrielle nervous. But her co-stars made her time during the film absolutely worthwhile, acting more like pillars of support than intimidating peers.

Wahlberg, 51, turned out to be a major helping hand for Gabrielle with his words of wisdom and constant reassurance; he not only helped to soothe the latter’s frayed nerves but also made her feel at home amongst new faces. Talking to Glamour about the same, the Kaleidoscope star revealed how Wahlberg “took [her] under his wing,” encouraging her to speak up without fear and nudging her to have faith in herself.

Most importantly, the award-winning actor persuaded Gabrielle to be a “teamplayer” but never at the cost of others taking “advantage of [her],” because that would cause him more pain than it would her.

“[He] really took me under his wing during the shooting and gave me a lot of different advice. Mostly how to carry myself and to know to ask for what I needed; to never be afraid of speaking up; and to just gain confidence in myself and whatever I say and do. As well as learning that, yes, you should be a team player, always, but don’t let anyone walk over you or take advantage of you. Because that, for me, hurts more than you think it does.”

Isn’t that just the sweetest thing?

“He’s very silly, very goofy, very funny,” the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star said of Holland, who she also called the “sweetest.” Not only that, but Zendaya, who wasn’t even a part of the project, extended her support to Gabrielle. Coincidentally, the two actresses go way back in time and even went to school together in Oakland.
