Mashle: Magic and Muscles has been the talking point of all the anime fans in 2024. The manga became a sensation, and soon, it was adapted into an anime. Hajime Komoto’s magnum opus had a mediocre season one, even though fans had higher expectations. So, a lot was riding when season two was announced. Likewise, it delivered in every aspect.
Before the manga was getting an anime adaptation, the editor of Mashles: Magic and Muscles gave an exclusive interview to Viz Media. He revealed several interesting facts about the upcoming anime. But the thing that caught the attention of the fans was the editor confirming the main motive behind the series. It was a straightforward answer, but it was also a fascinating one.
Mashle: Magic and Muscles Editor Confirms Brute Strength Is Problem Solver
Mashle: Magic and Muslces began serialization in January 2020 and ended in July 2023. It reached the peak of popularity and garnered millions of fans worldwide. The plot was like a combination of Harry Potter and Baki. Due to its immense popularity, Viz Media held an exclusive interview with the series’ editor, Yusuke Asai. He made some time out of his busy schedule and answered some pretty fascinating questions.
Yusuke Asai was asked whether being buff can solve any problem. To that, Asai answered, “For the most part, that’s right! The message is also to say that even if your talent is different from others, you can nurture that talent and be happy!” While most people would prefer to give intellectual answers, Mashle’s editor gave a simple answer, which uplifted the series’ ideal. Mash Burnedead would be proud of his editor.
Komoto sensei is a massive fan of comedy. He knew how to include comedic into the wizarding world. He included the comedy through brute force. Brute force in a wizarding world is a joke since the former cannot be of much help. But the mangaka managed to counter the wizards through a comic brute force.
Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 2 Has Been A Massive Hit
Yusuke Arai’s comment about buff being the solution to every problem might seem arrogant at first since the comments were biased toward the series. But after Mashle: Magic and Muscles season 2, fans have no choice but to accept it. Mash Burnedead aims to become a Divine Visionary, and in the latest season, he seemed to be more polished and refined. He faced wizards stronger than him but came out victorious through his sheer brute force.
Even the main antagonist, Innocent Zero, took a liking to him due to his unique abilities. On top of that, being a non-wizard, Mashle has made many friends and protected them from all kinds of threats. Season 2 has improved a lot from where Season 1 left. Apart from that, the opening theme song, Bling-Bang-Bang-Born, has become a worldwide sensation, especially the dance move. It has helped to attract fans from the western hemisphere.
Overall, Mashle: Magic and Muscles is a great new-generation anime. Hajime Komoto and Yusuke Arai have done a great job with the series. Even though the manga has finished, fans are eagerly waiting for season 3. It might not be wrong to say that fans have also started to believe that Buff might be a problem solver.
Mashle: Magic and Muscles is available on Viz Media.
