Avatar: The Last Airbender is regarded as somewhat of a classic by anime fans. First broadcast in 2005, many kids would scramble to the Nickelodeon channel to catch the ongoing adventures of Aang, Katara and Sokka, as they battled the threat of the fire-nation. Running for only 3 seasons, this series was greatly loved by those who watched and this still holds today.

Since the series finished in 2008, we’ve had the utterly woeful M Night Shyamalan movie in 2010 and most recently the 2024 Netflix live-action series which has seen the fanbase divided on opinion. It’s not only been the big screen where the franchise has been criticised as the appearance in Fortnite came under heavy scrutiny.

The Nickelodeon series which was first broadcast in 2005 is regarded as a cult classic.

However, with the character creator for an upcoming Capcom game, fans have been treated to a likeness of the leading character which many fans would no doubt be happy with. The game in question is Dragon’s Dogma 2 and ahead of release on 22 March fans have been able to test their character builds due to the creator tool being released earlier.

This has seen some of our favourite characters being recreated and the work done by Mienfoool which can be seen on the game subreddit is as close to the likeness of the character from the Nickelodeon cartoon as you are bound to see. The comments which followed were full of praise and commended the creator for how accurate the build was.

Whilst we are still waiting for a modern take on a game for Avatar: The Last Airbender, there have been several appearances by characters in various Nickelodeon-themed games such as Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix. It may be that with the recent release of the Netflix series, we will see a modern adaptation in the near future.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is coming in a matter of days

The upcoming title from Capcom has promised to be more narrative driven than its predecessor.

We’ve recently seen how one post on the Dragon’s Dogma 2 subreddit shows some immense creativity as the legendary Terminator was built. The player going by the handle Spider1132 must have spent some considerable creating the well-known Arnie character as there were several comments about the level of detail.

There have been other more frightening creations some of which would give you nightmares. It has been a good idea by Capcom to release the character creator earlier than the game as it will no doubt create more hype in the run-up to release in a matter of days.

The game which is due to launch for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Windows on 22 March is the sequel to the 2012 game and again has Hideaki Itsuno at the helm. The original was well received, however, some fans felt that the narrative was slightly lacking and the director has promised that this has been addressed for the upcoming title.
