The game’s humongous fandom all burst into excitement at once, as Midas is one of the most interesting characters and beloved skins in the community.

According to iFireMonkey, the much-anticipated Midas update is scheduled to be released on March 19th, hardly 48 hours away from the time of this article. It’s speculated that in addition to Midas, players might also be able to access the Hades mythic chain in the same update, another cool item to add to your account.
What to Expect in Fortnite’s “Rise of Midas” Update
iFireMonkey provided a comprehensive rundown of what players can expect in the v29.01 “Rise of Midas” update.
Players can expect to encounter Golden Chickens, or “Gregs,” which lay golden eggs that grant gold. The update will also enable the Drum Gun and Boss Midas Drum Gun. The Chain of Hades item will be introduced, an effective counter for the Thunderbolt of Zeus.
For those looking for a change of pace, the exciting Floor is Lava Limited Time Mode (LTM) will be available, with guns enabled. Every chest drops legendary rarity weapons and consumables for an exhilarating gameplay experience. Players will also have access to the Banana of the Gods consumable.
The update will introduce Midas Vending Machines and Station Consoles, providing players with additional ways to acquire items and upgrades. You’ll have the opportunity to upgrade your weapons to legendary rarity using the Golden Weapon Upgrade Service for 500 Bars.
To keep players engaged, new quests will be gradually released over the course of approximately seven days, with plenty of new challenges to do and rewards to gain.
Another thing to quickly mention:
Currently the Ascendant Midas skin doesn't have an Item Shop version as of yet and is similar to Shadow Midas in how he started out as only an NPC.
