Fortnite, the most successful live-service game in recent years, has several of the most legendary collaborations. Developed by Epic Games, it has made history in pop culture as a whole. With names like Marvel, Star Wars, DC Comics, Nike, and any kind of IP, this title has made unbelievable collaborations that no game could achieve.
But some fans noticed that some rumored skins regarding F1 never showed up in the store; apparently, these pilot skins have been removed from the game for good. Players are very sad with the news.
Epic Games and Fortnite Are the Absolute Kings of Collaborations
Following the near-total failure of Epic Games’ Fortnite: Save the World, the company swiftly introduced the Battle Royale mode, a feature that quickly gained popularity.
After defeating the original leader of this genre, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), Fortnite emerged as the definitive leader of this particular mode, surpassing expectations to become the ultimate metaverse experience.
This title had many collaborations in the past, but thanks to the directors of Avengers: Endgame, the Russo Brothers, that game had his final impulse to be the king of collaborations and achieved a popularity that few games got.
When Marvel launched its full season with the Epic Games title, the game’s potential was boundless, and its ambitious formula allowed for the creation of any kind of character within the IP.
An anticipated collaboration that could not happen
Some fans recently talked about how the F1 collaboration skins were no longer in the store. This was posted on X, and other users clarified that this anticipated collab will not happen, as these skins were removed three months ago.

Every year, F1 becomes more and more popular, with fans all around the world seeing every race no matter what. Fortnite has not explained why these skins were removed.
Over on X, the discussion continued, and various users said that probably Epic Games is saving these skins. A collaboration between F1 and Rocket Racing could happen, so the studio can add a whole new wave of skins inspired by this world. Other users explained that Epic is redesigning the skins to match the new uniforms that these pilots have in real life, so eventually fans can see these skins again with new designs.

Next month, Fortnite is preparing a new collaboration with Star Wars to celebrate May 4th, but according to rumors, this particular collaboration will change the game forever. Epic Games will experiment with new game mechanics. This is not the first time that the IP is part of the game, but the investment that this studio is making to improve the user experience is amazing, so the excitement is very high.
