Epic Games has brought several virtual live events to its battle royale title Fortnite from time to time between seasons with popular artists such as Travis Scott and Ariana Grande and is now back with a brand new event. The new upcoming event is called ‘The Big Bang‘ and will feature the globally renowned hip-hop artist Eminem, a LEGO tie-in, and more.

The Big Bang event is set up to be the biggest in Fortnite history, and although it has been confirmed by the developers that Eminem is coming, Epic Games hasn’t revealed all the details yet. The event has been described as “a new beginning for Fortnite and features an appearance by Eminem.” The live event lands in the game on December 2, 2023, at 2 PM ET/11 AM PT/7 PM GMT.

However, it hasn’t been announced how long the live event will last, but it will be available in the Battle Royale tile in Discover. The event will support parties of up to four players, and all the attendees will be receiving The Big Bang loading screen featuring LEGO Loot Lama. The downtime for the next season will start immediately, and Season 5 will launch on December 3, 2023.

LEGO is said to feature in the event somehow, but nothing has happened as of now. Perhaps the developers will let players know as the event nears. It is also not yet known if the live event will be available for the whole day or not, but guessing from previous in-game concerts, it will possibly last long enough for all the players to enjoy the real Slim Shady.

The event will be featuring popular hip-hop artist Eminem.

Several leaks have surfaced on the internet over the past few months that new modes will be coming to the game, including a racing mode, possibly Rocket League, a rhythm game mode, and the LEGO collaboration in some way, out of which a LEGO tie-in has been confirmed.

Prominent Fortnite leaker FNAssist shared a post on X/Twitter making references to the modes from the official picture shared for the event, alleging that the modes might arrive with the big event. However, it is still worth waiting for Epic Games to confirm this. As for Eminem in The Big Bang event, three new outfits called Rap Boy, Slim Shady, and Marshall Never More will be available in the item shop along with accessories on November 29, 2023, at 7 PM ET.

The three outfits for the hip-hop artist look amazing and recreate his different looks. The Rap Boy outfit recreates his famous look from the Without Me music video; Slim Shady recreates his look during the release of Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers LPs; and Marshall Never More sees the artist donning a black suit, and he looks dope. Additionally, all the players who own the Marshall Never More outfit will be able to unlock a variant of the outfit called the Marshall Magma Style.

Three Eminem outfits will be available in the in-game item shop before the event.

Epic Games announced on X/Twitter that The Big Bang will be an “unforgettable event” and “evolving all things as you know them” and will also have a “memorable reveal toward the end,” which is expected to be the beginning of the new season. Fortnite OG saw the highest player count in the game, with over 44.7 million players jumping in to experience the season with more than 102 million play hours combined.

The Big Bang event will bring one of the most popular and fan-favorite artists, Eminem, and even though the OG update has amassed the largest player number in the history of the game, it is going to have tough competition from the virtual event, and it could easily surpass that record.
