1. Vinland Saga
Vinland Saga season 2 was officially a banger series just like its previous season. The main focus of second season was on the growth and maturity aspect of the storyline rather than the bloodshed and war throughout the Europe that prevailed in the first season.
As the second season of the series focused on development and introspection, fans found the series calm and diving into an entirely new element. And now fans are excited to see what will happen to Thorfinn in Vinland Saga 2 part 2, as it is undoubtedly one of the best shows this season.

2. Spy x Family
Since its launch, Spy x Family has become one of the most loving and adored anime series of all time.This year, anime fans adored Spy x Family because it brought humor, drama, Cold War intrigue, and more together in a stylish package. The first season, divided into two parts, told the tale of the Forger family, which included the telepathic foster daughter Anya, the assassin Yor, and the Westalis spy Loid.
The show is joyful and fascinating as we get more deeply immersed in the Forgers’ lives in season 2, which is exquisitely sweet and full of powerful comedic moments. 3. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation
One of the underdogs this year was Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. The anime had excellent reviews and feedbacks from fans for its first season but no one expected the second season to join the ranks of the best anime series of 2023 but it surely did. The story of the anime revolves around the character named Rudeus Greyrat who, after a depressing and lonely life, dies and gets reincarnated in a fantastical world, preserving his memories and determined to make the most of his newly given gift of life.
The first part of Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Part 1 bounces with its secondary plots but has some really powerful emotional moments. As an adult adolescent, Rudeus explores the globe by himself in the second season of the anime series to find his mother, who has gone missing. The series was largely appreciated by fans and it made it to the list of great anime series of 2023.

4. The Apothecary Diaries
The protagonist of The Apothecary Diaries is Maomao, the daughter of an apothecary who was abducted from her peaceful life and sold to the lowest echelons of the imperial court. Relegated to a maid role, Maomao adjusts to her new life and hides her extensive medical background to avoid trouble.
The show not only investigates new illnesses for the protagonist to treat in each episode, but it also delves into the dynamics of characters’ relationships, contributing to the series’ complexity and drawing in anime fans. Because it uses incredibly cute and whimsical illustrations to highlight intense feelings like excitement, The Apothecary Diaries has established itself as a show that is well worth watching and made to the list of the best anime series of 2023.

5. Hell’s Paradise
The plot of Hell’s Paradise centers on Gabimaru “the Hollow,” a shinobi assassin who is sentenced to death and sent to Shinsekyo, an island thought to contain the Elixir of Life, which grants immortality, along with ten other death row inmates. Hell’s Paradise has already secured a place among MAPPA’s grim shonen alongside Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen after just one season.
The inventive Hell’s Paradise offers a genuinely unique experience that fantasy enthusiasts and non-fans alike will undoubtedly find immensely engaging. Hell’s Paradise made a strong impression on critics and fans of anime, quickly establishing itself as one of the greatest anime releases of the year. 6. Jujutsu Kaisen
When Jujutsu Kaisen first launched, fans instantly got attracted towards a unique storyline, brilliantly written characters and some of the most extreme battle and fight scenes. The series gained cult-like fan following that was never seen before in the anime community.
And now, the second season is doing the same. Although initially it had some problems with the studios, it managed to bring itself back up into the ranks of the best anime series of 2023, with the thrilling storyline of the Shibuya Incident arc, that featured characters like Gojo Satoru, Sukuna, Kenjaku and much more.

7. Attack on Titan
2023 was a special year for Attack on Titan fans as the series released its finale season this year putting a final end to the ten year journey of Eren Yeager. The series not only ended the Titan war but it also put an end to the series which was quite sad for Attack on Titan fans who have been with the series since the beginning and have loved it since they first saw Eren and his friends dreaming of going out of the walls.
In the finale season, Eren Yeager carried out his master plan, bringing the conflict between humanity and the Titans to a climactic as well as emotionally explosive conclusion. 2023 was a great year for a lot of anime series, but none of them compared to the love and appreciation Attack on Titan got as it was the last year for the series and epic journey.

8. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End explores the moving journey of an elven mage named Frieren as she battles mortality and the passing of time. With a brilliantly written story, the series offers a unique perspective on life, loss, and self-discovery.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End explores significant issues that are important to understand, like the purpose of life and death by utilizing multifaceted characters. There isn’t a lot of action or fights in the series, but still Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has justifiably taken the top spot in the rankings, demonstrating that it is a masterpiece and it has the potential to be one of the best anime series of all time.
