r/DragonsDogma2 is currently filled with players sharing pictures of their newly created characters. The variety of designs and models really goes to show just how detailed Capcom has made their character creator. With the right tweaks and settings, you can produce a close enough likeness to your favorite character from almost any media franchise!
If you’re wondering how this is possible, even though the game releases on March 22, it’s because the devs released the character creator early. The tool is free to use on any platform, and players can create five Arisen characters that will be transferred to the full game upon release.
If the posts are anything to go by, we’ll be seeing many known characters exploring the land of Gransys as the Arisen. Some have recreated Game of Thrones characters such as Lyanna Mormont and Tormund Giantsbane with stunning accuracy. There are also nods to other characters from fantasy, such as Gandalf, Galadriel from The Lord of the Rings, and Geralt from The Witcher.

We also have characters that are far removed from fantasy altogether! One user has created Omni-Man from Invincible, Tenzin from The Legend of Korra, and even Ryan Reynolds and Timothée Chalamet! Some have created original characters as well, such as one inspired by the aesthetics of ancient Egypt, and others stick to more conventional archetypes such as elven archers or old mages.

The numerous posts really show the robustness of the character creator tool. With the right slider settings and enough time, you could probably create any and every character you can think of in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Considering someone even made The Undertaker, the sky really is the limit!
