Jujutsu Kaisen is going through a massive transition phase with Gege Akutami at the steering wheel. The mangaka has often made headlines with their way of creating the characters and killing the fan-favorite characters randomly. But that does not stop the fans from falling in love with their magnum opus. The way the story is progressing, it looks like they will soon make headlines again.
The King of Curses is currently occupied with a tag team of Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori. Till now, the tag team has done a great job holding Sukuna in his most potent form and even managed to land a few blows on him. But the scenario might soon change with Valentine’s Day approaching. Gege Akutami might target Yuta Okkotsu, whose gig is based on ‘Love.’
Gege Akutami’s Next Target Might be Yuta Okkotsu
Gege Akutami finally revealed Yuta Okkotsu’s Domain Expansion, True and Mutual Love, and saw him bring forth several swords, each with one of his copied abilities. Yuta also has a special grade Cursed Spirit, Rika Orimoto, who used to be his childhood friend. After her death, she was cursed by Yuta and returned as a Cursed Spirit and protects and fights alongside Yuta Okkotsu.
Yuta Okkotsu’s whole character is based on ‘Love,’ and with Valentine’s Day approaching, Gege Akutami might again show their wickedness. They might kill Yuta on the day of love. In other anime, a flashback chapter means that the protagonist is getting a power-up, but in Jujutsu Kaisen, it is the opposite. A flashback chapter means you are done for good.
With Yuta having an upper hand on Ryomen Sukuna, it could very well change on Valentine’s Day. Even Satoru Gojo had an upper hand, and suddenly, a flashback came, and the fans saw him divided in two. Yuta has more or less shown the full extent of his power, but Sukuna has yet to reveal it. So, it gives Gege Akutami a massive chance to kill another fan-favorite character and torment their fans.
Valentine’s Day Might Become the Worst Day for the Jujutsu Kaisen Fans
Gege Akutami is pretty good at killing off characters. Yuji Itadori is slowly starting to unlock his full potential. But Sukuna has an experience of 1000 years, and he can look through any strategy. Moreover, he possessed Megumi Fushiguro’s body and saw through Yuta and Yuji’s plan. He might soon make his next move, and that too on Valentine’s Day.
It might happen that either Rika Orimoto’s Cursed Spirit is killed or Yuta is killed. In either case, the other one will go berserk. It will make them lose their composure, which might give the King of Curses to finish them in one single blow. Killing Yuta will leave no choice for Yuji but to reach his full potential. But no one can imagine losing their loved ones on Valentine’s Day, except for Gege Akutami.
But it is still just a theory. There is still time for Valentine’s Day to come. But if there is a flashback chapter, then fans will be disheartened. Maybe it was Gege Akutami’s plan all along. Kill everyone and make Yuji Itadori suffer and unlock his true potential. But still, to kill a character on the day of love, that too if their abilities are based on ‘Love’ is brutal.
