Gojo Satoru, the honored one throughout all heaven and earth, has been out of Jujutsu Kaisen for quite some time now. He was the strongest Jujutsu sorcerer in the series and even after his death, no one has been able to take that title away from him. This in itself speaks for the unparalleled power that the character possessed.

When Gege Akutami wrote his death in the series, fans were extremely disappointed and sad to see their favorite character being killed by Sukuna. Many believed that he was stronger than Sukuna and should have been able to defeat him, but the King of curses outsmarted him and took him down without even using his full strength.

Since then fans have been hoping that Akutami might bring him back in Jujutsu Kaisen because coming back from the dead is not a new thing in the series. However, looking at the way the storyline of the series is moving, it is highly unlikely that Gojo will make a return, and maybe that is a good thing for the conclusion of the series.

Gojo Satoru May Not Come Back in Jujutsu Kaisen At All

Gojo fought Sukuna during the Shinjuku Showdown arc. The battle is considered to be the best moment in Jujutsu Kaisen history. Gojo being the strongest sorcerer and Sukuna being the King of Curses certainly helped the battle become more interesting and thrilling for Jujutsu Kaisen fans. Initially, it was portrayed that Sukuna had an upper hand on Gojo.

However, it didn’t take long for Gojo to change the tides of the battle and unleash his most powerful attack: Limitless Purple which led to the imminent destruction of Sukuna. But it was all just his imagination, and Sukuna was able to kill Gojo Satoru which rendered Jujutsu Kaisen fans hopeless.

But fans did not lose hope as death is not the end in Jujutsu Kaisen. There were many instances and theories that led fans to believe that maybe Gojo might come back. However, as the story progressed it became more and more clear that Gojo Satoru is officially dead and won’t come back at all.

Gojo Satoru Not Coming Back Might Help Jujutsu Kaisen

Although it is a sad thing that Gojo Satoru won’t be able to return to Jujutsu Kaisen, it might have a silver lining too. This is because his death has helped other characters surpass their limits and become stronger in trying to defeat Sukuna. Gojo Satoru was the strongest sorcerer and his death left a big imbalance in the Jujutsu world and the story.

However, since his death, characters like Yuji Itadori, Yuta Okkotsu, and Maki Zenin have unleashed their hidden potential and tried to surpass Gojo’s abilities one by one. The recent chapters saw Yuji Itadori using the Reversed Curse technique which only a handful of characters were able to perform. It also indicated that Gege Akutami might be trying to make the characters surpass Gojo’s abilities one character at a time.

Fans also saw Yuta Okkotsu finally unleashing his Domain Expansion which is considered by many to be stronger than Gojo Satoru’s domain expansion. At the beginning of the series, Gojo Satoru talked about some characters who would essentially surpass him. Although they could not do it alone, it can be said that when they combine their power, they ultimately become stronger than Gojo.
