Because of this, the third season’s plot was immensely considerable, involving The Bad Batch’s characters coping with Tech’s death’s aftermath, Omega’s imprisonment by the Empire, and Crosshair’s eventual redemption.

With the implications of the larger canon, it is hard to see Omega having a happy ending. Fans should be ready for a ‘bittersweet’ conclusion to Omega’s story, as voice actress Michelle Ang recently hinted.

The third and final season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch features one more mission. With Tech dead and Omega captured by the Empire, the Bad Batch is shattered. As they set out on this perilous mission to ultimately escape the Empire’s control, the Bad Batch will collaborate with unlikely allies in order to save Omega and bring their team back together.

Ang and Dee Bradley Baker are voicing the lead characters in the series, which is developed by executive producer and creator Dave Filoni in collaboration with Jennifer Corbett. Brad Rau oversees the series as the supervising director and executive producer.

Michelle Ang spoke with Screen Rant about the final season of the animated Star Wars TV show. She talked about how Omega is dealing with Tech’s death and being a prisoner of the Empire. In addition, Ang discussed her character’s development throughout the series, her desire to see Omega in live action and her new dynamic with Crosshair.

“It was awful. I’m not going to lie. It was awful for me too. And I opened up episode one, season three with the hope that some of that awfulness might’ve been for … might’ve dissipated, but no. There was nothing that addressed that immediately. So I spent a good part of season three kind of waiting with bated breath, but it quickly became apparent that yeah, the loss of Tech was something that I was going to have to hold and let permeate all of Omega’s performance and I was speaking to someone else.”

As there is so much going on in season three, she said, we can not really focus on that as a plot point because it permeates everything. In a way, it is even more “beautiful” because Omega is able to perform all the tasks that Tech has taught her, such as operating unfamiliar vehicles, opening doors, and understanding systems on iPads.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is streaming on Disney Plus.
