Ernie Hudson is one of the most well-known stars in Hollywood. One of the first Hollywood movies in which he notably appeared was 1982’s Penitentiary II. Only two years later, he gained prominence as Winston Zeddemore in the supernatural comedy-drama- Ghostbusters. He has reprised his role as Winston throughout the blockbuster film series.
Hudson has a huge fanbase, thanks to his popularity among moviegoers of different age groups. It is not uncommon for actors to have strange stories of interactions with fans. The Basketball Diaries star is no exception as he recounted a story during his appearance in an interview alongside Bill Murray.
Ernie Hudson Recounted a Strange Fan Interaction Story
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is the latest installment of the supernatural film franchise, which kickstarted in 1984. Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Dan Aykroyd, and Annie Potts have appeared in all four installments of the original film series.
Murray and Hudson recently appeared in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote their upcoming project. Fallon showed them a picture in which a kid wearing a Ghostbuster uniform is seen sitting on his head. The host then asked Murray if he had any such fan interaction.
The Crow actor said that there had been many such incidents. He recounted one such incident, saying:
“I was in Chicago and a young lady asked me would I give her away. They were getting married in a couple of hours and would I give her away? And I said, “But, you know, I don’t really know you.” And she said, “Oh yeah, but you do. We met before and you signed my ankle.”
The lady then proceeded to show him the permanent tattoo of his signature on her ankle. Superman star Margot Kidder was also there so the actors attended the wedding and Hudson actually ‘gave her away.’
Ernie Hudson Ended Up Signing Co-star Bill Murray’s Ankle
After Ernie Hudson was done recounting the incident, co-star Bill Murray bared his leg and Jimmy Fallon passed him a marker as the audience laughed on. The Oz star signed Murray’s leg and then even Fallon’s leg, as can be seen in the video.
Ernie Hudson has been in the entertainment industry for nearly five decades now. Hence, it is unsurprising that he has amassed a fanbase of millions of people who want to catch a glimpse of him or want his autograph.
Sometimes, this autograph ends up being on some body part of these fans. Not so long ago, Hudson appeared in an episode of Sherri Shepherd’s daytime talk series Sherri, where the host asked him if he had ever been asked to sign someone’s chest.
When the actor denied, saying that he had been waiting for someone to ask that of him, Shepherd did not waste a second in pulling out a black marker and handing it to The Ron Clark Story star, who signed her chest with no hesitation whatsoever.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is going to hit the theaters on March 22.
