The Marvel Cinematic Universe has indeed learned from its mistakes over the years. With Chris Hemsworth’s Thor joining alongside the Avengers in Avengers: Age of Ultron, he had a pretty vicious fight scene at hand.

Fighting Vision when he is created, Vision and Thor ended up in a chaotic fight sequence which wasn’t really necessary. The scene between Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Paul Bettany’s Vision was eventually cut from the movie and fans are glad for it!

The MCU Deleted A Fight Scene Between Chris Hemsworth’s Thor And Paul Bettany’s Vision!

A deleted scene that Marvel Entertainment released on YouTube showed a very different take on Vision when he jumped out of the casket. In the final cut of the movie, it is shown that Vision immediately goes to the window to contemplate life. In the deleted scene, however, things weren’t so smooth with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.

In the video released by Marvel, Vision jumps out of the box, looks around, and immediately goes for the kill on Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. The duo engage in a fight while the rest of the Avengers keep on watching and eventually, Iron Man uses his powers. Throwing vision away from Thor, Vision finally reaches the window where he starts to think about the Avengers and his purpose.

Fans of the MCU are glad that this scene was removed since they feel that Vision was a smarter being who should know that violence wasn’t the answer. Taking to the comment section of the YouTube video, people offered their opinions on the fight scene.

“This completely defeats the purpose of Ultron and Vision having diametrically opposed births. Glad it was cut.”

“Yeah they didn’t need this scene, thinking about the whole scene in general It flows better for Vision to not be innately violent, to begin with.”

“This scene made Vision’s sinister, rather than heartwarming machine. Good job Marvel, exelsior”

But the scene had to be cut from the movie because Vision wasn’t just some mindless killing machine but rather an intelligent being. Although several fans wished that they would have kept the scene in the movie, the majority agree that it wasn’t necessary.

The Debate For Captain America’s Power Was Also Pretty Serious

Fans may remember the iconic moment in 2019 when Chris Evans’ Captain America picks up Mjolnir in Avengers: Endgame. The creators knew this scene way back and was even put into discussion around the same time as Avengers: Age of Ultron!

“There was certainly a debate at one point because particularly in Ragnarok, it establishes that Thor can summon the lightning without the hammer. I think Odin even says, ‘It was never the hammer.’ And yet Cap summons the lightning with the hammer. You get to those things and you’re like, ‘It’s too awesome not to do it! We’ll talk about it later.’” said Christopher Markus (via MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios)

Well, Paul Bettany’s Vision and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor did have a rough start but the duo also had a different bond than the rest because Thor essentially brought Vision to life.
