God of War has been around for the past two decades and the gaming community is eager to see where the developers will take the Ghost of Sparta beyond the Norse Saga. Other pantheons may seem like a viable option, however, there are even more ambitious ideas.

The character has been featured in other gaming franchises, primarily fighting games like Mortal Kombat, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and Fortnite. Some fans are guessing whether the character will visit even more franchises and cause problems in their worlds or resort to diplomacy.

One God of War Fan Theory Makes Sense About Kratos’ Various Travels

Santa Monica Studio did a tremendous job with the character growth of Kratos. Ragnarok ended the Asgardian gods’ reign of tyranny across the Nine Realms and ushered in a new era of peace and Kratos became a God of Hope, and the gaming community is already speculating where the character will go next, some are suggesting the retired God of War to explore the culture of Japan.

The character appeared in many games outside the franchise and fans are optimistic about seeing this older but wiser version of Kratos appear in other games.

Another fan came up with a cool theory and Kratos’ various appearances in different fighting games are all roadblocks for him before reaching the Norse lands. There was no solid explanation as to how he left Greece after wiping out the Greek pantheon and this theory could fill in the gaps.

Kratos’ reputation precedes him and gone to great lengths to kill those who wronged him and will likely do it again if his son’s life were to be in peril. The brutality of the retired god is indicative of his skill and ferocity, which will likely mean he will not rest until his opponent either submits or is escorted to the netherworld.

Kratos has a reputation of being an efficient Spartan war general and his godhood made him a formidable foe. The original creator wanted the players to feel the weight of playing a monster and show no mercy to anything standing in their way.

The theory suggests that each opponent that stands in the way of Kratos is one hurdle that needs to be removed to get to where he needs to be. The Ghost of Sparta was raised in war and will not rest until he reigns victorious.

Santa Monica Studio can get creative and feature the character in other games to shift the focus on his son, Atreus, as the lead of the next major project. Perhaps Kratos relaxes and spends his time from one place to another fighting foreign enemies.

Kratos has seen his share of blood and it does not bother him. Perhaps in his older age, he will be much more different and driven.
