Several chapters passed when fans suddenly discovered a hint in the leaks of chapter 260. Although there is still a lot of speculation, fans believe that the blue-eyed demon is indeed back.
Did Gege Akutami Hint at Gojo’s Return in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 260?
Leaks and spoilers of chapter 260 of Jujutsu Kaisen are out, showing some truly unbelievable incidents. Yuji and Todo’s repeated attacks finally got to Sukuna. He was hit with a Black Flash, and Yuji began tearing him apart.
On the very next page, Sukuna sees a mysterious silhouette morphed in darkness. The figure makes him balk. The narrator explains that Sukuna witnessed the strongest ghost, who was killed by his own hands.
“What Sukuna saw… is the strongest ghost… that he buried with his own hands.”

Sukuna has already defeated and killed several characters, so how can you believe that it’s Gojo who is back? The explanation lies in an additional note left by the editor at the end of the chapter. The comment states:
“Those eyes are unmistakable.”
The last panel also shows a white-haired person with one eye staring at Sukuna. The eye also seems to be light in color but shrouded in darkness like the rest of the body. So, who else can it be if not the legendary Six Eyes user?

Some fans are still skeptical about it since Gege Akutami’s hatred for Gojo is well-known. Gojo is too powerful, which is why it is hard to write around the character. His presence makes it impossible to come up with a danger that truly threatens the Jujutsu community.
In fact, the author has been caught making many hateful announcements regarding Gojo. However, Gojo’s death had made the popularity of Jujutsu Kaisen plummet. The author himself received many threats from the fandom. “Gege when I catch you, Gege” was a viral meme during this phase.
Is Gege Akutami finally ready to make amends now? Or will he nerf Gojo just like how Naruto was rendered powerless in Boruto? If Gojo was to return indeed, Sukuna Vs. Gojo’s rematch is undeniable. The conclusion to the last fight was universally hated by everyone, so there is a high chance of a rematch. If it does happen, then you should prepare for a grand display of each of their powers.
However, a concern with the rematch scenario is that if Gojo returned to Hulk-smash Sukuna, the efforts of the other characters would be in vain. Thus, the ‘rendering Gojo powerless’ theory holds even more ground in this case.
While a powerless Gojo will sadden fans, it’s still better than no Gojo. Instead, he can instruct his students on defeating Sukuna once and for all.
