Despite how powerful Goku is right now, he was considerably weaker at the start of Dragon Ball Z. His powers were so low that to kill his older brother Raditz, he sacrificed himself, but to this day, fans wonder why he does not show even a slight glimpse of regret.

If he had Raditz by his side, he could have learned several things from his older brother, who was extremely powerful and, over time, would have become even more vital.
The two brothers and the prince of Saiyan could have become a force to be reckoned with and possibly the strongest mortals in the universe.
Although Goku managed to reach the top, his journey would have been a lot simpler and easier if he had some experienced war veterans like Raditz.
