Gotham Knights may have been one of the more controversial titles of last year, but it seems Warner Bros. Games will be continuing to support the game as it has basically been confirmed for Nintendo Switch. It looks like Warner Bros. is trying to bring more of its games to the aforementioned console, as Batman: Arkham Trilogy is also due for release on the Switch.

Released in 2022, Gotham Knights completely divided the fanbase. Many were expecting an experience similar to that of Rocksteady’s Arkham games, but felt that the game lacked any meaningful content and had many performance issues.

In fact, the game only ran at 30 frames per second despite only being released on next-gen platforms. Nevertheless, if you’re on the Nintendo Switch and have been meaning to try the game out, you’re in luck.

The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB for short) has recently rated Gotham Knights for Nintendo Switch. In fact, over on their official website, you can see that the platforms the game is available on also have Nintendo Switch listed. Currently, there has been no official word from Nintendo, but this basically confirms the game will be heading over to the Switch.

This has caught the attention of many, as fans are wondering how the game could run on the Switch, (a less powerful console) when the game already struggled to run on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. It seems there may be more to the Switch than meets the eye, as Batman: Arkham Trilogy will also be released on the platform.

The Arkham Trilogy is actually being ported over by Turn Me Up Games, the studio that was responsible for the Switch versions of titles like It Takes Two, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, and Borderlands Legendary Collection. It’s currently unclear if the same studio is handling this Gotham Knights port or if WB Games is handling it themselves, but we should be getting an announcement pretty soon.

Currently, there has been no word from Nintendo regarding Gotham Knights, but there is a specific event that we can keep a close eye on. This, of course, is the rumored upcoming Nintendo Direct. This comes from Twitter leaker Pyoro, who’s had a strong track record of predicting and leaking upcoming games for the Switch.

They’ve outed the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Wonder, as well as Sonic Superstars on Switch. Recently, they have also begun to tease what could be present at the upcoming event.

If the rumors of an upcoming Nintendo Direct are true, then there is a very high chance Gotham Knights will be announced for the Switch during the event. It would certainly grab people’s attention, and there’s no better time or place to announce it. Fans can rest assured knowing that the game’s announcement is definitely imminent.
