It’s unanimously known that The Rock is second to none when it comes to trash-talking, especially when he took the gimmick of Hollywood Rock during his feud with Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold in 2003. And while fans would’ve never guessed they’d get to witness that version of the Brahma bull again, they got more than what they bargained for in the latest edition of SmackDown.
After weeks of backlash from the WWE universe, the Black Adam star resorted to his Hollywood Rock gimmick during the Friday Night SmackDown, and he didn’t take kindly to the Salt Lake City crowd.
Salt Lake City Wasn’t Ready for What Hollywood Rock Was Cooking
Turning on the crowd isn’t something new for Hollywood Rock, who once tore the entire Toronto Crowd into shreds during the early 2000s. And similar was the case for fans in Salt Lake City, Utah, after The Rock marked his entrance by donning the silk shirt, reminiscent of his days as the Hollywood Rock. Continuing his promo, the People’s Champion went on to trash the Utah-based crowd as he went on to cut a classic heel promo ahead of The Showcase of the Immortals.
“Finally your life has meaning! Finally you and your 50 wives will have a story to tell and you know what I’m talking about. You’ll have a story to tell your 600 inbred grandchildren one day and that is what it’s like to look at greatness in the flesh because finally The Rock has come back to Salt Lake City!”
After trashing them, the Black Adam Star took to X to acknowledge the record-setting crowd,
He’s back.
Greatness sins.
Devil disrupts.
Always speaks the truth.
Even when he lies.Record setting crowd.
Thank you SALT LAKE CITY.

Closing things off, instead of reiterating his iconic catchphrase, The Rock said “If you smell what The Bloodline is cooking.” But it wasn’t only the Utah-based crowd who had to handle The Rock’s heat, as the WWE Superstar took shots at Cody Rhodes, assuring fans that Rhodes would not walk out victorious from WM XL.
The Rock Stressed He’ll Make Sure Cody Rhodes’ Story Meets a Tragic End
As of writing, Cody Rhodes is set to face Roman Reigns at WM XL, and The Rock shot the Utah-based crowd, calling them Cody crybabies, stating,
“It’s The Rock and Roman Reigns in the biggest WrestleMania main event in history. You had it in your hands and you let it go.”
The Rock then proceeded to slam Cody Rhodes, stating that he’ll make sure Roman Reigns turns out victorious in his second consecutive face-off in WM with the American Nightmare.
It’ll be interesting to see how the story will further unfold as we inch closer to The Showcase of the Immortals, as fans anticipate more classic heel promos from Hollywood Rock.
