The episode of Griselda titled “Middle Management” is in classic Narcos style with a taste of revenge. While the godmother is getting her car washed and tending to her family, she has set a plan in motion. First, Dario and Chucho pull the triggers on the machine gun and fire into a local liquor store.

Who is the target? German is Blanco’s former business partner and supplier. It’s a visceral scene, with bullets spraying the walls. Windows and bottles explode, and innocent bystanders are killed. Simultaneously, one of Dario’s men plants a bomb at the window of Papo’s home. He sees a man in the window and hides him in the bushes, close enough to kill him.

It explodes. Griselda then sends men to burn down the warehouse holding Ochoa’s cocaine on their private island. They even steal some good stuff ready to be picked up in the ocean. All of this is well and good for Ms. Blanco because she now knows Rafa has no choice but to put her in charge.

Netflix’s Griselda Season 1 Episode 4 Recap: Who Kills Rigo and Isabel?

Rigo and Isabel were killed by Papo’s men. That’s because when Rigo saw a man in the window, the soldier saw Papo’s father. This was a big mistake that cost him his life. The smuggler is now alive, recovering from hiding. Rafa wanted to deliver the news to the godmother in person to see the look on her face. Dario realizes Rigo is in danger. He races over to the home of Carla.

Rigo and Carla were partying in her home. Dario arrives and finds the home on fire. Also, three bodies, two being Rigo’s and Carla’s, are in the front yard with their heads cut off. Rigo’s mother arrives at Griselda’s home later. She thanks her for giving Rigo a purpose. They are a Cuban family, and he has lots of brothers and cousins. She hopes if they come to America, they can work for The Godmother, too.

This gives Ms. Blanco (Sofia Vergara) an idea. Dario locates Papo’s sicarios. All three are killed, and she puts a bullet in the leader’s head. She then has all of Rigo’s Cuban relatives brought to the States, where she delivers an impassioned speech on taking over the Miami drug trade. Hell, she’s like Peter Finch in Network, but even more effective at saying, “We aren’t going to take it anymore!”

How does Griselda kill Papo?

Papo is killed when she sends one of her soldiers to kill him at the airport. In fact, it’s personal because she has him decapitated, just like her best friend, Isabel. The report is in the news. At the same time, Rafa is at home, upset that he has been once again bested by the godmother.

This includes burning the Ochoa family’s cocaine in an empty pool. It’s the wickedest bomb fire in the history of bomb fires. Rafa then receives a gift from Griselda. It’s a gold bayonet, inscribed, “May we make gold together.” She then calls Rafa, who explodes, wondering why she had to be so merciless when she gave her everything she wanted.

The godmother responds that it was already hers. She has instructed all the dealers in Miami not to deal with the Ochoas, or she will do to them what she did to Papo. Rafa has no choice. She accepts an invitation to meet Fabio Ochoa, where they make amends. She is dropped off by Dario, and Arturo accompanies her.

That’s when the fatal bullet entered Arturo’s head. Rafa explains that this is payback for her actions in Miami. He tells her that this cannot happen again. Griselda agrees.
