Featured Video

A GTA 6 announcement is easily one of the most anticipated announcements in the modern gaming scene. It has been a decade since GTA 5 came out, and since then, we have gotten various versions of it thrown at us. However, it seems like Rockstar Games is finally cooking something up because of a recent surprise for Xbox fans.

GTA 5 just returned to the Xbox Game Pass library, and fans of the console couldn’t be more excited. Microsoft revealed the news out of nowhere as part of their latest Xbox Game Pass roundup. In fact, it isn’t just the OG game; it comes with the Grand Theft Auto V next-gen update!

This could mean that a GTA 6 announcement is finally on the horizon. It’s the first time that Grand Theft Auto 5 has made its way back to Xbox Game Pass after a year. The last time Rockstar’s overly-milked open world was present on the streaming service was when it got a native Xbox Series X/S port in 2022.

Game Pass subscribers can finally test out sweet new features while playing the game on the service. These include higher resolutions, ray tracing, and yes, smooth gameplay at 60FPS.

The game’s singer-player campaign received universal acclaim when it was first released. Since then, its multiplayer mode has also been extremely well received by fans of the franchise. Naturally, players are more than happy revisiting the rich and vibrant world of Rockstar’s open-world epic on the Game Pass, at least until the GTA 6 announcement finally arrives.

Does This News Mean That a GTA 6 Announcement is Coming?

A GTA 6 announcement could be right around the corner.

By this point, we know that GTA 5 has been milked to death, and the sequel feels like a hoax. But we couldn’t help but notice that the timing of Grand Theft Auto V‘s return to Game Pass seems more significant on a deeper level. It can’t just be a coincidence that the huge title made its way back to the streaming service after a whole year.

We believe, and take this with a grain of salt, that the game’s epic return could mean that Rockstar is planning to make a GTA 6 announcement soon. Although fans love GTA 5, they have been asking for the sequel for years, and their requests can’t just be falling on deaf ears. Since Grand Theft Auto hasn’t been a conversational topic for a while now, we think that putting the last game back on Game Pass after so long is Rockstar Games’ way of building hype for the next big title in the beloved franchise.

Just a week ago, the alleged project codename of GTA 6 made its way online, stirring up rumors and gossip about a potential announcement. All the pieces just fit together because news about the codename and Game Pass return took place within a week of each other. We’re still waiting for an official statement by Rockstar Games, but while we wait, at least we have GTA 5 to enjoy once again!
