GTA 6 rumors and leaks are nothing out of the ordinary. However, a recent Reddit post that looked into a Rockstar Games employee’s profile uncovered a new logo for the studio that raises more than a few eyebrows. In the past, Rockstar showed off a new logo before released Red Dead Redemption 2.

The LinkedIn profile belongs to Dylan McCrone, who has been working with Rockstar since 2021, as a Graphic Designer.

Rockstar Has a Previously Dropped a New Logo Before a Major Release

Can this be the new Rockstar logo for GTA 6?

What seems to be the new logo is a vibrant and exotic color palette that plays quite close to all the speculation for GTA 6 we’ve been hearing about: Vice City, beaches and a usual chill vibe. On the other hand, considering the profile belongs to a graphic designer, it can just be a custom banner designed specifically for the LinkedIn profile.

However, this isn’t the first time Rockstar has potentially teased a new logo before a new game arrives. Before Red Dead Redemption 2 was officially put out in the form of trailers and teasers, Rockstar dropped a logo cleverly colorized with shades of red and black.

If we go back to October 2016, the official Twitter account belonging to Rockstar posted a cryptic photo with those colours in mind. This was a confirmation for fans that Red Dead Redemption 2 was to be revealed soon. Even though the game was released two years later, these small updates gave fans that ‘sigh of relief’ that their speculations were right all along.

Could we have the same for GTA 6? Well, only time will tell. For now, we can look into things coming from Rockstar employees, if not Rockstar itself.

The impending announcement for the next game in the entry is raising quite the hype and anticipation, with many leakers presuming that Rockstar will finally announce the game this week. It’s important to know that the Grand Theft Auto games have made the studio one of the most influential creators in gaming history. This calls for the consistency in quality that Rockstar can’t overlook.

Gta 6: Too Little Official Info, Too Much Hype

GTA fans are clutching at straws, finding GTA 6 hints everywhere.

One of the commenters on the Reddit post, OkYogurtcloset8120, accurately describes what we’re truly waiting for:

Regardless of whether or not it’s tomorrow, or the day after, or the day after that… isn’t it crazy to think that we could genuinely be mere days – if not less – away from what will end up being the biggest game reveal in history?

Rockstar’s first statement about the leaks is the most liked Tweet in the gaming community. The actual announcement and trailers that will come from that are gonna break all kinds of records.

There’s no written rule that Rockstar will announce GTA 6 the same way, but the usual excitement that follows after getting a look at tinier details like a change in logo, or how GTA Online may tease the game, everything adds value to Rockstar’s voluntary or passive marketing strategy.

Even with their attention towards the Halloween celebrations in GTA Online, players can’t help but notice specific decisions as to how Rockstar is making these announcements.

For instance, an in-game screenshot of the event showed map VI (from Vinewood) with two characters in the front, and fans immediately started reading more into it. Of course, nothing was officially announced by the studio, but who can argue with a community that will go to any extent to know more about the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game?

The other thing to keep in mind is Take-Two Interactive (Rockstar’s parent company) making official comments about the fiscal year 2025. The anticipated $8 billion in net bookings can only mean one thing: a game as large as GTA 6 to break records and make every shareholder a profitable investor. What does this mean for a release date? Well, we hopefully can be looking at 2024-2025 as the potential release date for the next Grand Theft Auto.
