Recently, the first ever GTA 6 trailer was released, and gamers have been blown away by the massive amount of detail, and key moments that they already can’t wait to experience. However, one of the biggest reveals for most players who haven’t been following the rumors is the fact that we will be making a return trip to Vice City, one of GTA’s most iconic locations.
Throughout the trailer that was released, numerous different locations were revealed to be included within the game, which players will be able to explore once the title releases in 2025. What comes as a big surprise to most gamers is the fact that, according to insiders, the trailer is a realistic view of what the game world will actually look like, which is already a good sign.
According to the numerous rumors and leaks that have surfaced over the past few months, players believe that the map size for GTA 6 will be twice as large as GTA 5. This means that gamers will have a lot more to explore than they ever have, as this map could even be as big as Red Dead Redemption 2, which is a rather large map to compare.
Where Is Vice City and What Familiar Locations Will Players See In GTA 6?
When it comes to the GTA universe, gamers will have noticed that many of the locations where each game is set look incredibly similar to real-life places. This is because they are essentially parodies of actual real-world spots, allowing changes to be made to certain locations and giving Rockstar the ability to lean towards already existing points of interest.
Within this version of GTA, the game will be set in a parodied version of Miami, allowing players to relax in the burning sun on some of the most beautiful, but chaotic beaches known to man. See some rather unique outfits that either the players or the NPCs will be wearing, as Miami is a very colourful location, and this will be mimicked within GTA 6.
If you’re not the beach type of person, then there are some city destinations for the player to explore, as it has been rumored that the map will be twice as large as GTA 5. It is also said that GTA 6 will feature buildings players can enter and explore, allowing even more to be found.
GTA isn’t always filled with cities, however, as there will also be some rural areas that players will be able to explore as well. Whether it be a suburban living space, the grimy Everglade swamps full of dangerous creatures, or speedboats to drive. There will even be some mountain ranges that gamers will be able to explore, but there won’t be as many mountains as compared to GTA 5.
Just like other games produced by Rockstar, there will be many different activities within the Vice City limits that players can take advantage of. Whether that be going to the numerous stores to dress up your character, going to the cinema to enjoy a movie or two, or just driving down a coastal road with the sun roof down and enjoying the view.
Even though the map will be the biggest we have seen in a very long time, if ever, there will always be something to do around each corner. It will be constantly full of unique locations that players will be able to explore. The options are endless, and hopefully, with the time Rockstar has left to finish development, it will become one of the best maps to exist in the gaming industry.
At the moment, we do not know whether there will be an in-depth home-owning system like there is within GTA Online, but if there is, it will most likely be very detailed and will have a large quantity of choices. There could be skyscrapers, suburban houses, caravans, and even the potential to live on the Everglades.
Why Are Gamers Excited to Return to Vice City, and Will We See Any Classic Locations?
For some of the older gamers, GTA 6 won’t be the first time they have explored Vice City, as many fans of the franchise will have most likely played GTA: Vice City and will have already spotted a lot of similar locations from the original game. However, this time the city will have even more detail, especially since the original GTA: Vice City was released back in 2002 and graphics were a bit rough back then.
Within the trailer, gamers caught a glimpse of a few iconic locations that were once included within the original game, and will be making their return in the next installment in the franchise. However, they will now be getting a face lift with some extra upgrades, as players will be able to enter these locations with a bit more detail.
As always, GTA is filled with rather unique locations that many people wouldn’t go to in real life, but would enjoy within the game. Such as the Oceanview Hotel, where players will most likely be able to rent a room, or the boat yard, where players will be able to steal a fancy boat and drive within the ocean, hunting down the many secrets hidden within.
The final location that has been noticed within the GTA 6 trailer that will most likely be watered down within this iteration is the Malibu Club. This is a very iconic location within GTA: Vice City and has a lot of love from the game’s fans, especially those who played the title in their early years and weren’t able to go to nightclubs in the real world.
Since these locations have been shown off within the trailer, we can rest easy knowing that they could still have some importance within the GTA 6 story, and could even have some future DLC content set inside of them that links to the older games within the franchise.
In every GTA game, there will always be secret locations, hidden symbols, and unique loot for the players to search for and find. This will also be available within GTA 6 and will have even more secrets and hidden items for players to find. This will then be used for all kinds of Easter eggs that players can obsess over for years.
So far, we do not know if any of the original characters from GTA: Vice City will be making any surprise returns, but if they do, most players will know exactly where to find them as their homes will still be within the game. And players could easily track them down and see what life is like after the many years that have passed within the game universe.
