Marvel Comics’ most popular symbiote, Venom, has been depicted as an anti-hero in Sony’s Venom franchise. Starring Tom Hardy as the distorted version of Spider-Man, the character is a fan favorite. Marvel and Sony shook hands in creating an interconnecting universe of Sony’s Venom with Marvel’s Spider-Man. In No Way Home, Hardy appears sitting in a bar and leaving behind a piece of his symbiote before being sent off into his universe by Doctor Strange.

However, another powerful symbiote that existed ages before Venom, has the potential to appear in the MCU. A fan theory suggests that the God of Symbiotes, Knull has a high chance of getting a possible feature sometime later, probably in Season 2 of Loki. Knull’s indirect link to Knowhere has revved up the theory of its involvement with the MCU.

Knowhere, a mining area in space, was portrayed as a key location in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1, with additional mentions in Thor: The Dark World, and Avengers: Infinity War as well. The backstory to it traces back to Knull, who created a symbiote called All-Black. As per the comics, All-Black did the unthinkable and killed a Celestial, and used its severed head to dig up a mining mission in space. This came to be known as the recurring place in MCU, Knowhere.

Therefore, a Reddit user, u/SOUL-LESS once proposed that Knull holds mighty potential in the MCU, specifically in Season 2 of Loki. Besides pointing out All-Black’s sinister act, the fan also noted that a glimpse of Knowhere appeared on a computer screen in Loki’s episode 2.

While Knull hasn’t been featured in the MCU yet, it is speculated that the evil deity will take center stage in the upcoming phases. Moreover, All-Black was theorized to develop an affinity for one of Loki’s variants and emerge as a big bad villain in Loki S2. After Thanos, Marvel is eyeing to entangle the multiverse around Kang The Conqueror’s evils. Nevertheless, Knull could also be a viable option following Kang.

The creator of symbiotes, Knull lives in the primordial void of Earth-616. Ruling his kingdom of darkness, the Celestials hindered his peace by attempting to fill his world with light. His first symbiote, All-Black was used as a sword to kill one of the Celestials, later to be known as the Headless Celestial. Furthermore, its head was used to refine the sword, thus creating the Knowhere.

The God of Symbiotes existed years before Tom Hardy‘s Venom came into the picture. According to Marvel, Brock freed Knull while fighting the sociopathic killer Carnage, allowing Knull to make his way to Earth. Channeling Knull and the Headless Celestial’s supreme powers into the sword, All-Black appeared as a deadly Necrosword, used to slay gods. Hopefully, fans will get to witness all of the riveting backstory to the world of symbiotes soon in the MCU.
