One Piece Studio, Toei Animation Co., Ltd., is a Japanese animation studio primarily owned by its parent company, Toei Company. Over the years, it has created a multitude of popular series, including but not limited to Sally the Witch, Dr. Slump, Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk, Digimon, One Piece, and the Pretty Cure series.

You know, with its stunning animation quality, Toei Animation is also famous for being very restrictive with their anime series. The studio has taken down many videos from YouTube since 2020.

Toei Animation has taken down videos from popular YouTubers like Mark Fitzpatrick, whose channel received over 150 copyright claims from Toei in late 2021, as well as from TeamFourStar. Additionally, they’ve removed content from their own YouTube channel, Toei Tokusatsu World Official. Now, the animation studio is striking down another video on YouTube.

Toei Animation is striking down a video of the popular comedian and YouTuber Nigel Ng, also known for his online persona “Uncle Roger,” and has given him 5 days to remove the video, or it will be removed after that.

One Piece Studio Took Down Another Video on YouTube

Uncle Roger (Nigel Ng) is a comedic genius and his YouTube channel revolves around reviewing cooking videos. He recently uploaded a video titled “Uncle Roger Review ONE PIECE Japanese Curry.”

In this specific video, Uncle Roger provides a review of the cooking scene from the One Piece anime’s Episode 133, entitled A Recipe Handed Down! Sanji, the Iron Man of Curry! This episode centers on Taijo, a probationary chef working for the Marines, as he endeavors to prepare a curry dinner for the Marine Captains, with some help and guidance from Sanji.

After receiving the copyright strike, Uncle Roger posted a screenshot of it on his YouTube community page. In a message accompanying the screenshot, he encouraged his audience to watch the video if they hadn’t already, as it would be taken down from the platform in five days due to the strike.

Toei Animation has made it clear that in order to avoid a copyright strike, Uncle Roger must remove the video from YouTube. However, if Nigel Ng chooses not to remove the video within the specified five-day period and receives a copyright strike, it could potentially have negative consequences for both Uncle Roger and his devoted fans.
