“Regarding Levi, I actually have something in my mind, but at the same time, I don’t know if I will be able to write that or not. I have imagined what the story of Levi would be in my mind, but at the same time, whether I am able to output it, that’s a whole other story because writing a manga is a really difficult task for me.”

He apologized to the fans with tears running down his cheeks. He was sorry for not being able to give the fans what they wanted. After the end, the fans wanted a spin-off series, but he was not confident enough to work on another project. After the incidents of Attack on Titan finale, he was scared. But he was frightened momentarily since the spin-off did happen. He created an Attack on Titan spin-off on Levi Ackerman, named Attack on Titan: No Regrets.

All this happened when he visited Anime NYC. Even though he thought it to be a difficult task, he did manage to go forward with the spin-off. Levi Ackerman is one of the most important characters of his magnum opus. Doing a separate story on his is not easy. The backlash from the fans might be a reason as to why he was scared, but after everyone calmed down, he was ready to enter his studio again.
